Some people are saying "we'll be fine, just a little bit of flooding"
Others are saying "jump in the car right now and start driving north"
Which one is it?
Pic related is my location
Basically if Texas were a common negro. Hurricane would be a swimming pool.
the storm itself is not what id be worried about its the aftermath. roaming gangs of looters and spics and nergros fighting over stolen good will be the norm almost everywhere. if these Mexican gangs are going to make a push into another's turf it would be now amidst the chaos. that being said from what ive seen on pol expect something pretty serious, then again pol does have a tendency to get excited and jump to worst case scenarios

I have a gun and 32 bullets
Will that be enough?
Should I try to buy more tomorrow morning before shit hits the fan, or is it too late?
>>138965327
Buy more, you never know how long the shit will last
>>138964941
flooding is the least of houston's problems
but, if you're really worrying, just drive to shreveport or something
>>138964941
You are fucked, leave now.
Seriously dude don't chance this unless you're prepared for 2 weeks and have guns.
>>138964941
You'll be fine
>>138965327
There are none left on the shelves right now.
You need to leave tomorrow anon.
>>138966041
>>138966102
srs, or are you just larping? any evidence for your claims?
>>138966442
I'm not larping, seriously leave. If you aren't prepared to live on your roof and your house isn't recently built or an apartment on the 3rd floor or above you need to go.
>>138965327
Absolutely try to buy more.
>>138966554
I live on the 4th floor of an apartment building. Not sure how recently it was built, but it's more of a luxury than a budget complex. I'm on the top floor though, and it has flat roofs; should I be worried about leaks?

>Tfw no giant gulf sized ghosts movies
>>138966763
you should be mostly fine unless the winds are bad enough that a tree goes through your roof.
Get plenty of contractor trashbags.
>>138967077
>m-my apartment is surrounded by trees
OP is so fucked
>>138967347
well your ass is about to be filled with them
>>138966102
What a pussy. This storm isn't shit unless you live in the SW flood plain.
>>138967347
It just depends if winds are strong enough to rip them out of the ground and put them through your roof then.
>hint; they probably will be.
How will the Cinco Ranch area be when everything is started?
>>138965327
>I have a gun and 32 bullets
I'd be more concerned about having enough food and water to survive several days without electricity.
One thing that never occurs to you until you've had no power for a week is that a toilet that won't flush because of no water is the first thing you want fixed, whether it's 98 degrees or 20 degrees. If you have some 5 gallon buckets fill them now so that you can flush once or twice per day for several days.
Good luck. You live in a modern city so it might actually be nothing but a few exciting hours of torrential rain and wind.
Pic related is Hurricane Fran a few hours before it rolled over my trailer park. No real damage, somehow, but no power or water for 5 days is pretty rough.
>>138965327
thats more than enough to kill yourself bro
Houston was essentially built over a swamp and the whole fucking thing is teeming with bayous. Those fucks have been filling up quickly in recent years, even with less severe storms. This is a fucking hurricane and we are looking at massive amounts of rainfall in a very short span. The best thing you can do is check out: http://www.harriscountyfemt.org to find out in you live near a flood-prone area.
if you don't have preparations and live by yourself, you can take a gamble and stay there. if you have dependents and you are not prepared, you need to drive north because if things get bad, you'll be out of electricity and with the present temperatures, shit will suck terribly for everyone.
>>138968652
If I do that, I'll drive to Eastwood and take down 31 spics with me
Some of you guys are alright, don’t go to Houston tomorrow
>>138965327
32 bullets are you out of your mind? Why don't you just get out of town for a week? Shack up in a hotel or airbnb.
>>138964941
Katrina is coming back to finish the job of wiping out those New Orleans nigs. Get the FUCK out

Pic related, that's widespread areas receiving 2 FEET or more of rain (isolated locations could see 3-4 feet) in addition to everything else accompanies a major landfalling hurricane.
You tell me... I'm actually not too familiar with the local terrain other then its pretty fucking flat.

>>138964941
I live in Seabrook one of the little cities on the ocean by Houston and evacuation is recommended not mandatory which means aint shit gonna happen. Its gonna be a tropical storm that floods in some parts. When its mandatory thats when shit is fucked and no electricity for 2 weeks that level shit. This will be losing power for a few hours at worse.

Probably not by the time it hits Houston. Depends on the species of tree. It's the water you should e concerned with. Much like any other pest it's gonna displace the human refuse as well. Prepare to repel boarders anon.
>t. Lived through Katrina Rita and Ike
when does it hit?
cant miss this /comfy/ natures treat.
>>138978511
>when does it hit?
hurricanes move very slowly, but I think the hell will be this evening through tomorrow morning.
meaning it won't start for another 8 or more hours.
landfall? Late Friday early Saturday last I read. Houston probably 12 or so hours later if it goes that way and continues at the speed it has been
>>138978475
I know its shit.
>>138976252
Weren't Texans praying for rain a couple of years ago? Maybe God's just really behind on his work?
>>138978501
>Depends on the species of tree.
yes. Here in NC, when Hurricane Fran came through, Oak trees destroyed all the power lines while the pines just bent back and forth. Conversely, when we had the ice storm of the century a while back, ice on the pine needles brought down limbs and all the power lines without hurting the oaks which of course have no leaves in the winter.

How is Texas the state of a NY slumlord?
>>138978737
I was referring to your 111 matching the trips you were checking.
>>138964941
We get massive flooding every year and a half. It's raining now but it's an absolute dead calm. This is Texas. Hurricanes are to us what blizzards are to New Yorkers.
