Self-reliance is civilization. Bartering and trading skills is civilization.

There isn't a point in history before the modern era enough shit was shittily made in bulk for you to be able to work and buy everything with money. Exactly zero definitions of civilization use "trade" as the basis.

The movement promotes creativity thru crafting. The movement's goal is not to create jack of all trades workers but to inspire a hobby that may or may not become a job. You are conflating promotion of a skill with promoting a profession.
