This concerns me, and should concern others significantly more. The idea of removing history because we don't like what it represented is something straight out of a book, either 1984 or Brave New World. Either way, it doesn't really matter.

I hope to God people will come to their senses and move on from this awful trend. We are quite literally destroying history. Idc if it's just statues, next thing you know they go for plaques and ask for building names to be changed, then it could lead to the books they don't like being removed form circulation, then ignorance in general.

Well anons, I might write a paper and submit it to my college and hopefully see it published. I'll get some help from some English professors to articulate the language better, because at this point this issue needs to be discussed in places where it might not even matter.

The way I see it, you shouldn't judge historical figures by modern standards. In some of these cases, these people lived at least 200 years ago and what is deemed horrible now could have been socially acceptable back then. Going by the logic leftists are using to try and justify this, we might as well erase all history before 1965.
