Flouride in small doses isn't bad. The only statistical difference between areas with differing levels of flouride in the water is quality of their teeth, IQ and sperm count are unaffected. It's the estrogen you need to avoid.
It seriously is the main concern, sperm count in men has dropped 50% in the last 30 years, more girls are being born than boys, and men are on average weaker than the last generation at all age groups.
"Muh fluoride" is the double jew to distract you from the real problem.

Flouride is a medication. It treats hyperthyroid and has a sedative effect. There is no good reason to put it in water. Most water tap water is used on outdoor watering, very little is drank, and drinking flouride is not a good way to get it to teeth. Flouride for water systems comes from industrial waste. Fluoride is a halogen, highly reactive, it comes with all sorts of crap. It's a (((scam))) in the water.

They say they reduce limescale, lead, copper and chlorine. Aqueous chlorine and flouride are very similar things chemically, i.e. Cl- and F- ions which are next to each other on the periodic table (halogens), so I would expect it to work for that too.

Reverse osmosis is defintely better, but Britas have the benefit of being vastly cheaper (I got mine with a year's supply of filters for £30), so for poorfags it's effectively a choice between that or nothing at all. Especially because RO requires a significant amount of energy to run.

>>
>>138944296
Nah those are blue pilled filters, get a countertop distiller from Amazon and some remineralizing drops.
>>
>>138945933
This is all true, but it's mostly due to obesity + sedentary lifestyles + exposure to chemicals like PCAs and BPA from sources other than water. For example, there's strong evidence that maternal exposure to a fire retardant PCA that was popular in California produced a spike in babies that grew up to be fags and trannies. Water *is* worth worrying about just because we consume so much of it, but in most places the xenoestrogen content is very low so it's a fair way down the list of priorities.
>>
>>138945114
Every water source will have it's own unique chemistry, but typically most only mineralize if they de-ionize the RO water.
Oddly enough, The only folks I have ever seen recommend that are the people selling the mineral dosing filters. Truthfully, I have run 0ppm RO/DI water for 10 years with no ill benefits this far. Granted, that is not my sole source of fluid intake, bit it is the majority.

Reverse osmosis doesn't need the electricity is hooked up to your faucet, I believe.

Countertop one needs it to pump the water through the filters.

You want a zerowater pitcher, cheapest option. Removes flouride but you need to replace the filter when you're supposed to. Can't cheap out. When the filter is used up, it's used up. It starts bleeding out the contaminants in the water. Dirty water will use it up fast.

Fluoride overtime fucks with your pineal gland the pineal gland regulates melatonin which in turn regulates your sleep/ waking cycles and some reproductive hormones.
Melatonin blocks the secretion of gonadotropins (luteinizing hormone and follicle stimulating hormone) from the anterior pituitary gland. These hormones aid in the proper development and functioning of theovaries and testes.

There is approx 1000 times the amount of fluoride in our toothpaste than the amount in our water. Fluoride serves no function than after the contact it has on our teeth. It collects over time in the body and leads to osteoporosis and accumulates in our pineal gland.

Rinse with iodine. Both fluoride and iodine are halides but iodine actually serves a purpose when it's inside your body. Rinse after brushing with drops of iodine in water and you can actually drink it because your thyroid uses iodine unlike fluoride

>Fluoride fucks with the pineal gland
Fluoride fucks with the thyroid. There is no doubt that fluoride is a toxin, however the pineal stuff is a meme.

Fluoride is added to the water in some states for two reasons, tooth re-mineralisation and a shilled deal made with the aluminium industry to dispose of their chemical waste. It's proven that it indeed binds to tooth enamel and strengthens it. However, it's still a toxic chemical that's forced into water supplies by the government which causes alarm.

Fluoridation exists mainly because the aluminium industry shilled it, but people aren't satisfied with this answer, it has to be something systematic that reaches beyond breaks for corporations.

So it's become a meme that fluoride is a brain control chemical or some sort of IQ suppressant and people scour for anything to prove that it has some sort of mind altering element. Somewhere along the line someone found a Harvard study that found trace amounts of calcium fluoride in the brain sand of the pineal gland and concluded that sodium fluoride in the water was the cause for the calcification of the gland (A phenomenon found in almost everything with a pineal gland). The pineal gland is a mystical organ releated to the occult because Descartes said it housed the soul, just matching the words fluoride and pineal gland causes autistic sperging about mind control via blocking the third eye.

>>
>>138955867
Also, this man is 100% correct.
Here's the tl;dr-
>industrial age draws to a close
>"aluminum age" begins, with phosphate mining for ag uses also increasing drastically with the advent of the Haber process
>massive amounts of aluminum and phosphates are now usable by industry
>mining increases drastically
>massive amount of fluoride waste produced by these industries
>governmental pollution controls make waste disposal very expensive
>industries use connections in medicine and government to push fluoride waste as a treatment for disease, taking advantage of fluoride's enamel hardening qualities to push the scam
>turn what would be a multi-hundred million dollar a year waste product into a multi-hundred million dollar a year profit
On the plus side, cheap aluminum, a great boon for civilization. Aluminum used to be as valuable as silver.
On the downside, fluoride brain rot. Don't know how bad this actually is since we have no real gauge of it. But it IS there to some extent.

Looks interesting but as per zerowater.com/why-zerowater it's basically the same technology as a Brita, i.e. activated carbon plus ion exchange resin. They claim they have 5 "stages" and a Brita only has 2, but they do that by counting mesh screens and a piece of foam as stages on theirs and ignoring the similar screens that exist on a Brita. So I doubt it's dramatically better.

>Fluoride takes the place of iodine within the thyroid gland and leads to hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid)
>this is because both fluoride and iodine are halides (there really similar) therefore fluoride clogs up the path that the iodide could have takes to be absorbed by the thyroid hormone
>the thyroid needs iodine to produce it's t2 and t3 hormones
https://www.thyroid.org/iodine-deficiency/
>If you do not have enough iodine in your body, you cannot make enough thyroid hormone. Thus, iodine deficiency can lead to enlargement of the thyroid (goiter), hypothyroidism and to mental retardation in infants and children whose mothers were iodine deficient during pregnancy.
>Approximately 40% of the world’s population remains at risk for iodine deficiency.
If you can't get rid of fluoride try getting some iodine into your diet.

While waiting on that anon's response I will share some things I have read before:

Countries that ban fluoride (not just don't use, but ban) are China, Israel, Japan, Russia.
America actually IMPORTS fluoride from China to put in our water supply. We don't make enough. Can you imagine what kind of extra shit is in chinese fluoride? Haha, I wonder if there are purity tests for it. Highly doubt.

It's only a matter of time before Trump bans it. I would think anyways.
>>
>>138945933
You're wrong. I can't remember the source so I guess you will stop reading but I read that high fluoride is better for testosterone, middle is neutral and low fluoride water lowers testosterone levels, but the EPA famously said all fluoride in water is bad.

It's still controversial exactly how bad phytoestrogens like those found in soy are. E.g. bodybuilders who sperg out about them will happily chug down full-fat milk as part of GOMAD or whatever, which in the US at least tends to be chock-full of actual mammalian eostrogens, as a result of animal husbandry practices that keep the cows pregnant most of the time. Also fermented soy products are thought to be much less of an issue.

The Haber process allowed for an explosion in agricultural industry production. In fact, the only reason there are 7B people on this earth today is because of the Haber process.
Because the Haber process opened up agriculture to such a degree, it allowed the phosphate industry to follow suit, which in turn lead to a great increase in fluoride waste production as fluoride salts are among the wastes produced in phosphate extraction.

Zerowater company claims their product removes a lot, including flouride. They even sell a meter to test your water.

>Some treatment trains also include ion exchange and adsorption techniques (USEPA 2001). These conventional processes, according to the EPA are inefficient for substantially reducing certain pesticide concentrations and other EDCs including pharmaceutical and xenoestrogens from source water (USEPA 2001). Additionally, the Clean Water Act, amended in 1972 which addresses WWTP releases and the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), first enacted in 1974 and amended in 1986 and 1996, which regulates contaminants in public water supplies does not have any provisions for removal or testing of xenoestrogens or pharmaceutical estrogens.

I have used it extensively. Zero water works, but the filters are pricy and don't last for shit. I finally just started dropping disposable portable RO filters at each point of use, then just replace the whole thing every year or two once my EC starts going up. I could buy one of these for what a two pack of zero water filters cost, and can handle hundreds or even thousands of gallons of water

>It is important to realize that the current US daily recommended allowance (RDA) for iodine are not in milligram doses but inmicrograms:

150 micrograms (mcg) per day for adult men and women

220 mcg for pregnant women

290 mcg for lactating/breastfeeding women

>However, this RDA was set with the intention to prevent goiter only. Dr. Flechas makes a compelling argument for it being completely insufficient for overall physical health and prevention of diseases such as thyroid disease, fibromyalgia, and cancer. Iodine actually induces apoptosis, meaning it causes cancer cells to self destruct.

pH of water does not matter, your body has systems to control pH already regardless of what you put in. kidneys excrete uric acid (removes acid from blood) and lungs regulate acidity as well by controlling level of CO2 in the blood, which becomes carbonic acid (HCO3)

You two chucklefucks need to learn the difference between iodine and iodide.
The former is poisonous and used for disenfection, whereas the latter is a commonly found additive in table salt (often as potassium iodide).

>Both fluoride and iodine are halides but iodine actually serves a purpose when it's inside your body.
However, iodide does not exchange with hydroxide in the hydroxyapatite that makes up the bulk of tooth enamel.
Fluoride does, forming fluoroapatite which is more durable than hydroxyapatite.
>>
>>138958555
Thanks anon didn't know the difference but is it actually worth letting it accumulate in our bodies for the benefit of our teeth?

Yeah there's some scientific support for that, which you would kind of expect given all the chemical changes caused by fermentation. Those that don't want to give up milk should drink (semi) skimmed, since the estrogens are fat soluble.

>>
>>138958323

>>138958780
Intentionallly making all your water alkaline is definitely retarded, but the most common "alkaline water" technique is to make it slightly *acid* with a couple of quartered unsqueezed lemons in a pitcher. The logic is that the metabolic *products* of this are supposedly alkaline, therefore it helps your body buffer pH back up from things like meat that tend to produce acidic metabolites. This sounds suspicously like psuedoscience, but I've been trying it for a few weeks because I often get acid reflux, and it seems like it's helping ...?
>>
>>138959353
Well I mean if you have acid reflux getting day extra alkaline might help

I drink tap water, but I get a lot of exercise and sunlight, and eat fairly healthy, and get enough sleep and meditate and read a lot. Am I still being effected by the flouride? I've already stopped brushing my teeth with toothpaste, and I avoid shampoo and lotions.

First check if your state even adds it, if they don't it's unlikely to be worth worrying about at all. Although maybe other contaminants are.

If you have pretty pure water, you can basically disregard PH.
NOTE! This doesn't mean PH is not important!!!
Absolutely pure water will have a perfect neutral 7.0ph. It is unlikely you will have laboratory grade purified water, but you might still be ok.

In basic terms, think of your water as a 5 gallon bucket, the junk in the water (Total Dissolved Solids) as randomly sized balls and the PH as the average size of those balls. Perfect ball size is 7".
If that big bucket has a single 14" ball in it, your PH (average ball size) is 14! That's a horrible ph. Now say we drop a single 1" ball in. Now, we are balanced back a perfect 7 average, with a single little 1" ball making a 7 point swing. We have 2 balls, so we will say our TDS is 2.
A TDS of 2 is very pure!

Now let's say we have a bunch of dissolved solid junk in another bucket. Let's say we have 20 of every ball size 1-14. We now have 280 balls in our bucket, with an average of 7ph. Remember that single 1 inch ball earlier that gave a 7 point swing? We drop it in again, but our PH barely budges to 6.996 and our TDS increases to 281. This resistance to change thanks to averaging is called "buffering"
So, lots of TDS makes PH stable, and very low TDS allows PH to easily and dramatically swing.
If your water has a PH of 0 with tons of TDS, that's bad! If you drink it, it will have the buffering ability to hang onto that low ph, and actually change YOUR ph. This could be though of equivalent to drinking concentrated hydrochloric acid.
If it has a ph of 3, bit very, very low TDS because it's highly purified, it has next to no buffering ability to resist your body's current ph. Just the little bit of ph and TDS of your saliva in your mouth will swing it right inline with where you naturally are. This could be like drinking a glass very clean RO water that has a drop of apple cider vinegar mixed in. No problem!

The problem is all the vegetables and fruits you eat are watered with that same tap water.

All the beer / soda you drink uses that tap water.

All the meat you eat, was fed that tap water.

All the processed food you eat, had that tap water used in it's creation.

You can't get away from it with a filter.
