> reclusive cat lady
> fashion model, courted by multi-millionaires back in the day
> vain as hell, house an absolute pigsty
> never married, got self-conscious about it by age 30
> takes what I presume to be a younger teenage lover to cope
Is this the ultimate film about roasties?

This was a great film, to be honest. It was preserved by the Library of Congress. Let this be a warning as well as entertainment...

It's such a boring, foreign trainwreck I can't look away.

I know, right? It's just tragic.

the whole thing is so depressing its not even fun. I think she also related to Jackie Kennedy.

>takes what I presume to be a younger teenage lover to cope
can I, a man, do this?

Correct.
>43:33
> jealous of her married mother while she was unmarried
Watching it further, this mother is just savage as hell!

I think so, I just don't think they go on dating sites.

The movie Midnight Cowboy might give you some insight...

Another amazing film, by the way, well worth the watch.

This was the 70s. Different times.

What's really crazy is how her younger lover in the beginning is just as old as she was in the film now... crazy shit, time. It's why I get real maudlin watching silent films, because all of the actors are dead.

There is a part of 20th century America that is dying in this film too.
What an existence though. Just hang around, listening to records, eating food, staring at yourself in the mirror, having vapid, utterly pointless conversations in some old dilapidating mansion.
Such a great film, just goes to show that money isn't everything, anons. They were happy even in squalor, and had a strangely symbiotic relationship.

Seems like the old elite and their inheritors to me...
No wonder they drink blood and sacrifice children to Lucifer.

I think after a while, you start to form yourself around your new circumstances and adapt to losing what you had before.
