Progressives are on the right side of history because we have always been the ones making the history, be it through funding scientific advancements, abolishing slavery or passing civil rights bills . Conservatives get forgotten and frowned upon in history for resisting change. If conservatives had ruled the world from day 1 we'd still be living in caves and communicating in grunts.

It's ironic how conservatives claim to be patriotic when the Founding Fathers themselves fought for the progressive goal of outing tyranical british rule in favor of self-determination. The conservatives of the time would have been supporting the brits and trying to crush our rebellion. Same story with the confederacy where conservative southerners tried to conserve slavery. We fought you, you lost and you're in the gutter of history. You live pathetic existances trying to cling to the past like a leeches on a corpse.
