I think the Sun is slightly worse. I don't know how anyone could actually subscribe to the Daily Mail. We have something similar, the New York Post, but it's not nearly as popular as the Daily Mail or the Sun in the UK. The British really like sordid stories, I've noticed.

I think that the New York Post actually leans right and endorsed Trump. Anyway, both the Sun and New York Post are owned by Rupert Murdoch. Also I don't think the Daily Mail is hated on 4chan either.

Because that's how tabloids work. Like the Enquirer or whatever, they're full of shit but that gets the sales and attention so they can get away with putting out bits and pieces that other outlets won't.

So for instance my main exposure to UK outlets is through the filter of drudgereport. With them filtering out the bulk of the nonsense for me, I have a much more favorable outlook about the things they sometimes print, particularly about the US, the our outlets will never cover.
