I respect that your country allows the statues of Peter the Great, Catherine and Great and others to stand today. Even though they stood for serfdom and total oppression of the normal people.

Yes, he was. I think it is because in the Czar's Russia his family belonged to the poorest class of peasants. I mean, very poor even among other peasants. So joining the Reds was a chance for him to raise his social status. And he did. I must say he really believed in communism, and worked hard to make the communism closer. Now it seems naive to me. I recommend you to google about the Russian peasant communities of the Tsars' times. You will learn that the Russian village was pretty communist, so to say, even before the real communists took the power. There were big problems with private property, I think the Russian village was doomed to collective farming the communists set, just because of its mentality and rules.

Huge fan of Russia here. Lots of cultural stuff, literature, athletics and so on. Plus vodka. And Putin's a bad ass. Keep doing what you're doing.
