Did drugs change your ideology?

Usually I imagine it the other way.

Conservative or conservative with liberal tendencies -> drugs -> full blown liberal

This is usually due to the self-fulfilling nature of drugs that leads them to believe they're opening their minds, realizing the "true nature" of things, and that love is some magical force and they find the left ideology fitting in their new 'enhanced' world view.

I took drugs and it didn't change my ideology, but it did change my race and gender. I used to be a white man, now I'm a strong independent black woman. Drugs: Not even once.

There's a feeling of profound vulnerability that always makes me feel a ton of sympathy for marginalized and otherwise vulnerable people. The feeling of "holy shit I'm so helpless right now if anything / anyone tried to fuck with me" easily extends to "holy shit! Have tried everything i wanted to, now i´m completely sober, even caffeine won´t get into my organism, I really do enjoy it.

One of the first times I got high, I was watching TV, something clicked inside. Bare in mind I was like 15 circa 2000...suddenly it struck me that media is a constant barrage of ads mixed with 'news'.

I ate acid plenty in high school and would just geek out and occasionally have some insights but nothing spectacular. I was a liberal, fell on hard times, tried for social services but ran into so many problems because white male. Saw how many poor people in sleeping centres were subhuman scum parasites. Worked any odd job I could and paid for my own shelter/slept in creative places until I found a cheap room. As for that question about Russia. We went communist after ww2. Since communism never works, we tried to get rid of it. Our government, afraid of losing their source of personal income pleaded Russia to help them uphold the regime. My advice for people wanting hallucinogens via psychedelics....Ever taken melatonin to help aid sleep?
