Did you miss all those threads last night that Wall Street banks said a downturn is coming?

The market is almost entirely based on feeling right now, and if it doesn't feel like things are good it's gonna crash hard.
>>

It's a threat, the same threat they've been making since before Trump got elected.

Exactly, the markets fear the fed and the fed is the gun that the kikes hold to the head of the government. Until Trump audits the fed and takes them on they will continue to run his presidency.

screencap this post

* Interest rates at historic lows
* The exponential nature of technological advancements
* Record levels of cash on the sidelines
* The fear of "missing out"

This is a recipe for buying panic, and it's going to play out in a huge melt-up. There will be a mania not seen since the NASDAQ bubble. As the market continues to rise, people will be afraid they've missed their opportunity, and it will all feed on itself. that will end with a crash of course, but not before we hit DOW 40,000. It will play out over the next few years, position yourself accordingly.
>>
>>138857699
They always say that. It allows for plausible deniability when a crash eventually does come. Their memos will warn you to perhaps keep 20% of cash out of the market, not dump your portfolio.

That's not what the US fed is going to do. The fed wants to reduce its balance sheet. The most likely way is to let their purchased bonds mature since about $1.4t of the $2.5t in purchased bonds have a maturity of 5 years. Are you proposing that they're going aggressively sell bonds, but to offset market volatility, they will purchase US equities?

I thought that's how people made big money though? Making bets when there is panic and "blood in the water". The market intends to put the maximum amount of participants through the maximum amount of pain. I believe that pain is higher prices.

That's impossible to know.

The Fed will manage maybe a couple of months of letting around $10bn of bonds on their b/s mature before there is a market panic which shifts them back towards an easing forward guidance - which would be their 9th flip-flop since May 2013 by the way.

Cash levels are more important than most people realize. Since most of the money in the market is managed by big guys trading on margin and with derivatives, a margin call is a real possibility.

A lot of people don't know how the cash repo markets were a big part of the issue in the last market crash in '07 - '08.

>>
>>138862497
That's one way to look at it. But large purchase programs often work in everyone's favor. For example, tax payers have made money on the bank "bailouts" from TARP.

Either way, if you know the regular tax payer is going to be forced to bail out your investments, maybe you should put a little more into that index fund.

Why can't we look and try to see if there is anything similar to what is going on now. Basically the anatomy of a depression.

Some financial journalists want to earn money by getting other people to short their stocks. So that they can earn money on fools selling or shorting stocks.

Some idiots believe that financial analysts can see into the future and so they sell or short stocks. It's an old trick... say "The market is going to crash!" and make people sell off their stocks so you can buy them cheaply. Wall street have done that once every month for over 100 years.

lad BTC was born in 2009. The only reason it crashed that one time was because of the Mt Gox thing. Otherwise I'd keep growing and correcting and be at 8000$ or more by now.

And it's just speculation that cryptos will become more than just drug money in the future. Speculation (bubble)
>>
>>138864407
Just because the bubble got bigger doesn't mean it's not a bubble. The US stock market (along with many others) has been in a bubble for a number of years now too.

People buying into dotcom stocks back in 1999 had a similar mindset to those buying cryptos today, they get very defensive about the ones they own and claim that even if the market in general is in a bubble their portfolio in particular is not. Cryptocurrencies are in a big bubble and a lot of people are going to lose a shit ton of money when it pops, whilst the "whales" will make a shit ton just before the crash; same thing happens in every bubble, this time will be no different.

ty anons for the reply.

I'm kind of confused though, if there is going to be a recession, or whatever you wanna call it, a down turn, how is it not only 1 thing now? For example

https://www.thestar.com/business/2017/08/23/in-event-of-another-downturn-record-household-debt-would-add-pressure-to-credit-cards.html

There are talks of housing bubble again in Canada, and even here in the states, granted not as bad as the one before (thats what they say), but now it has to do with credit cards, the retail apocalypse that is coming, and student loans.

So is it okay to say now that if it happens next time, that all of this will be involved and not just one thing in particular?

Do you see it happening in the next 3 years? Or is it something that can be held off longer. As you can see im new to this shit, but I really hate how things have become now, making money out of thin air and basically having a monopoly in anything productive.

When does the ultimate happening occur?

Total US household debt just surpassed the peak of the last decade. Now you'll hear suits on financial media say this is ok because mortgage debt isn't as high as it was back then but you have to realise that home-ownership rates are at a 60 year low.

My prediction is that things will start to unravel noticeably next year or next month if the debt-ceiling shenanigans really kicks off this time.

You can have as much fake money as you want. The trick is being a heartless, insufferable enough douche canoe to be able to trick people into letting you cash out.

And your goal should be to cash out at some point if you're in it for the profit. No reputable company will ever deal with cryptocoin. The only thing backing it is a bunch of deluded poor people desperately chasing the dragon of instant, effortless wealth.
>>
>>138871421
Oh yeah. Cryptocoin is also endorsed by people in poor countries who see it as a great way to siphon funds away from idiots in Western nations.

>>
>>138872066
Well, the big issue is that so long as idiots are allowed to be idiots, they'll keep raising it until either something unexpected happens or one of the preset, predictable, defined events occurs that kicks it down.

Cryptocoin sounds like a magic money generation machine to a lot of people. It's why $180 video cards are currently selling for $450. Mainly because of Ethereum. The fuckers ruined a business and set an industry back 5 years.

Heavenly Father,
Your word is witness to the downtrodden. Why should the heathen say "We prosper, while the sons of the Cross languish"? Bring the unjust to heel, and make the rich man to see the vanity of his wealth. Make the powerful remember that You alone, o God, are Sovereign. Burn us, that we might rise from the ashes stronger, and righteous. We ask this of You, o LORD, for No one is god but You, O Father, and there is no God but You, and in Your Name alone we pray.
Amen.

Fuck no. Are you kidding?
No one is buying US bonds outside of the US, it's all being purchased internally by the deep state. This market scenario is literally the perfect storm against the $ and the Federal Reserve Scam.

A selloff of stocks has no effect on anything for most people besides 401ks being wrecked a little.

Stocks are way overvalued (except for fucking Ford. Cost me a good grand making that bet.). A sell off would be great for a chance to actually buy in.

The Deep state is propping up the markets with the help of the ESF (Exchange stabilization fund)
Watch this series to learn more. You don't know shit about the markets unless you understand the ESF.
