Most people these days are trapped on the rationalization treadmill. They can't admit to themselves that they're responsible for their own fuckups. So they look for some reason, any reason, why things are not working out for them.

At that point, it becomes impossible for them to undo by force of will alone without some serious redpilling, because giving up on their illusions would entail discarding their identity and sometimes, their entire way of life.

The problem with modern millennials, I think, is that you have these insanely entitled but nominally agreeable people who have been raised to think that the only way they can get things in life is by being disagreeable. They're fed a steady diet of lies like "the only people who get promotions are those who fight for it" or "the only way to get change in society is to fight for it", not realizing that in both scenarios, it's usually the diligent and reasonable ones who get both, not the loud irrational ones.
