People from war-torn nations in Africa were brought up very differently compared to someone in, say, Germany. Left leaning Germans hear about Africans having horrible lives and they unironically adopt the "if people are starving in Africa they should move to France" solution.

They realize that a Syrian aged 25 years has had a ridiculously difficult life in their country. What they don't realize is that a Syrian aged 25 years has seen and done some serious shit to survive to that age, and is what people might refer to as a "Monster" in German terms.
