I read a Critique of Pure Tolerance, Eros and Civilization (which was a huge influence on the New Left and the whole "Free Love" movement), and One-Dimensional Man. In the 1960s, Marcuse became the chief “guru” of the New Left, and he injected the cultural Marxism of the Frankfurt School into the baby boom generation, to the point where it is now America’s state ideology.

All the members of the Frankfurt School were Marxist Jews, and they all seeked to apply Marxist concepts to culture. Even Yuri Bezmenov who was aware of the Frankfurt School's subversion called it Marxist ideology.

Walter Benjamin's language theory (which was also inspired by Lurianism) is the basis of Deconstructionism (Critical Theory), which is the basis of SJW identity politics and language policing. Kabbalah says Yahweh used language to create the world and everything in creation is merely a product of Yahweh's language. Deconstructionism says the exact same thing. So, SJWs take this idea and use it to prove nothing is real, that everything is just a "social construct" created by language, so the way to change society is to language police. Marcuse, Adorno, Horkheimer, etc. weren't actually concerned at all about the content of the media they were criticizing, they were talking about the production ("seize the means of production" says Marx) and its effects, and how Marxism would somehow fix it.

This is identical to what Marx did in the Communist Manifesto. Point out all the flaws in capitalism and current economics, and use it to justify a Marxist takeover, which is even worse than "capitalism". They didn't want to stop the media from causing social degeneracy, they were only interested in criticizing it to justify implementing Marxism, with more emphasis on culture than economics. This is what Marxists do, tap into the resentment or problems people have with the current society, then use it to justify a revolution and create a totalirian regime under their control, then the useful idiots who helped them get shot.

Profit is not guaranteed. The risk exposure falls entirely on the investor and entrepreneur - they would reap the rewards, as well as the losses, while workers get compensated at a set rate regardless of the outcome.

You won't get a massive windfall for being employed putting together iPhones, but you also won't have to give back 2 years worth of wages if you worked on some crap gadget that doesn't sell at all and fills up a ditch in New Mexico.

If the workers want to mortgage their homes to invest in a business of their own, they're free to do that. Left to their own free will most opt in for the employment contract, which provides reliable income for workers even in the most volatile sectors.
