They will just ban you. The mods in place hold the power to filter the information. Pic related - it's getting banned from r/worldnews after a terrorist attack happened and I was criticizing Islam and such in a manner that was following all the rules.

I sent a standard message asking why I was banned and the mod said fuck off.

I used reddit to redpill people for quite a while, but it gets tiring. There are tons of SJWs and non-whites who will attack and downvote on sight, typical ignoring or sidestepping any kind of reasonable debate. I bring up non-whites because I've encountered it - they have no ethnocentric interest in white issues and are always pro-melting pot, and will attack you and call you racist and stupid for bringing up the foundations of the US and such. Even defending Europe is hard because they instantly downvote you and label you racist which allows them to stop the debate right there without any further thought.
