I'm unironically stuck in an existential crisis and it makes me struggle to connect with anything. I know I'd be much happier if I could just submit to a higher power and find meaning by attempting to live a virtuous life, and finding comfort when I'm suffering by turning to God and knowing that there is a plan for me. Fucking this. Jesus (the Logos) and the Holy Spirit (the Pneuma) are ""created"" beings. I use created very, very loosely, a better word would probably be derivative from the Father; Jesus and the Holy Spirit are beings of a collection of characteristics derived from the Father. Their existence was necessary for the creation and continuation of the universe, so they are eternal compared to us (to our universe: they were necessary for the beginning and will be here until the end and possibly beyond), but they are not eternal in the same sense that the Father is. One could make the argument that since they were derived from the Father, they are technically eternal but just not independently eternal, but that seems like splitting hairs in my opinion.

It's funny how evidence that was once seen as incontrovertible proof of creation ex nihilo is now lorded over theists' heads as some sort of proof to the contrary, when in reality absolutely nothing has changed.

That was the whole point of compiling the Bible in the first place, to serve as a reference should tradition change. That was what Martin Luther saw, and why he attempted to reform the Church. The problem is taking tradition without scripture (Catholic/orthodox), or scripture without tradition (many sects of Protestants). You need both, and they should be consonant and complementary.

Are you asking if science can explain those things? Because if so, no, of course not. If it could, then they would not be miracles. Science utilizes reproducible experiments and observations to produce accurate models of those phenomena: these are referred to as theories and, when well-established, laws. If something were to happen in accordance with these laws, it would not be a miracle. It is only when something counter to a law of nature happens that it is referred to as a miracle, that is the essential factor that makes it a miracle (i.e. it is not a miracle when you drop a stone and it fall to the ground, but it would be if you dropped it and it fell up). In this way, science and religion (specifically Christianity) are not opposed to one another. Science observes and attempts to model the phenomena of nature, the natural law. Miracles are violations of the natural law which can justifiably be assumed to have supernatural origins (if someone is able to violate the natural law at will, then it seems rather obvious that that person has supernatural power, almost definitionally). Joseph clearly understood that when Mary was pregnant when they hadn't had sex, this had to be due to someone impregnating her, as that is what would rationally be explained by natural law, and thus sought to divorce her for being unfaithful. It was only once he was visited by an angel who explained the situation to him that he was okay with it. Science isn't opposed to miracles: it is observation and understanding of natural law itself that allows one to determine what is miraculous in the first place.
