Agitate for a system of competing, gold-backed currencies (redeemable in specie, obviously) separate from government control, and for sane interpretation of fraud laws. A currency redeemable in specie makes fractional reserve banking a blatantly fraudulent activity, and existing laws already cover that. The critical component is to take it out of government hands, because we all saw what happened what FDR did when they decided they wanted more shekels.

The likelihood of succeeding in all this prior to a collapse is next to nil, of course. You should already have guns, ammo, food, survival shit, medical supplies, etc. Buy and hold precious metals. Don't buy more land than you can successfully defend, because there is no guarantee the government will respect titles if SHTF.
