Just maybe having a continuous war in Afghanistan might actual be to our benefit in the West. Not an war with a actual end goal of peace or even winning, but a war that we fight if only to keep a rotating population of our soldiers active and engaged.

At home, people are employed making munitions and weapons, and those that sign paper to get into uniform will always have a place to fight and hone their skills. It's practice for everyone. It's a good thing.

Think of Afghanistan as a game preserve.
