A lot of laws here are very strange, beer was illegal until 1986 or '87 because we wouldn't be able to handle beer and everyone would show up drunk to work and the country would crumble. I love Iceland and basically consider it my second home since I work there (home visiting family atm), but a lot of its people are seriously brain-washed with your run of the mill liberal open borders mentality, especially the youth. The only reason the country isn't overrun with refugees is mainly the distance and the fact that they aren't in the EU, so they have no obligations to take in refugees.

Also, Iceland is flooded with tourists in the summer, and it just seems to get worse with each passing year. It almost makes me want to not work there anymore.
