In three years, Trump will have won over millions of people on the fence who bought the bullshit in 2016 that he'd be a tyrant/demagogue/racist/joke-celebrity-candidate/insane/etc. Because let's face it, he definitely isn't any of those even in /pol/ would want him to be.

He will also add many Generation Z supporters who will be able to vote for the first time in their life. They will be a "Trump Youth" like how the 1980s had a "Reagan Youth."

The only ones who'll vote for the Democrats are the screeching, histrionic, violent, race-gender-sexuality obsessed minority, who are going to be a minority in every state except ones like Massachusetts (university students and whites who always vote Democrat, will *almost* go for Trump), Vermont (university students and old hippies, will also almost go for Trump) and Hawaii (minorities, will also almost go for Trump). The only strong Democratic 'state' will be Washington D.C.

California will go red once they're forced to institute proper voter ID laws. There are millions of Republican voters in Cali, many of whom didn't bother voting in 2016 because there was no point. New York will go red because upstate and Long Island and Staten Island are already red, and will go redder. There are also many people in NYC (the ones who aren't frothing at the mouth leftists) who will realize that Trump really is pretty decent at the very least.

and I'm making this thread from the perspective of someone who lives in NYC. I know a few who are already realizing Trump is actually not as bad as they thought.

And I also know quite a few people born in 1995-1998 (considered Gen Z by some) who voted for Trump

It is literally Trump's first year in office. Assuming he doesn't abandon the voter base that put him there, he doesn't have much farther he can fall from the left but everything to gain. He might pass a few bills here and there that get lefty-centrists on board.
Meanwhile blm, antifa etc keep beating old people, protesting free speech, throwing urine in cops faces and shitting up society in general.
As far as his Charlottsville comments, he gained some points with everyone not in a hysteria by calling out the hate and bigotry on both sides, which most people recognize exist. I don't think he's lost any votes he otherwise had because of it.
Unless a 3rd party emerges, or the dnc successfully convinces people that its not affiliated with blm and antifa in any way, I don't see how Trump could lose.

Trump was ahead in the polls several times. There are a bunch of moderate cuckservatives left in the state that could go for Trump in 2020.

Virginia and Colorado have become blue states. Metro Denver and NoVa are too powerful.

Next go around, if Trump is able to enact part of his agenda and Dems continue with FUCK WHITEY (they will), Trump can win all the states he won before, and possibly add Nevada, New Hampshire, and Maine.
>>
>>138682982
There are four types of traditional (or at least, last few cycles) Democratic strongholds.
1. States with very high racial or demographic minorities (gays, etc.) - Parts of California, inner cities like Detroit with gibs, D.C., Hispanic areas in the Southwest, Hawaii.
2. Union states in the Great Lakes - Trump has stolen most of this advantage.
3. University/Leftist/Cucky areas - Think parts of the New England and Pacific Northwest, the dudeweeds in Denver, parts of Minnesota.
4. Areas with large government intervention - Think Northern Virginia and Maryland, certain subsidy farms areas, around reservations, any place with a well-stocked welfare office.

-There are overlaps here, but here's the key:
Fight globalism, #2 is gone for Democrats.
-Capture the young voters, and consider state-by-state weed policy, and #3 should be competitive.
-Neocons and govt cucks in #4 are nearly impenetrable, so probably can't do much there.
-Trump did surprisingly well with Hispanic voters, remind people constantly there is a difference between illegal and legal and the natural pride of some Texas or Florida Hispanics will cause them to vote against the recently border jumping Guatemalans, Southern Mexicans, El Salvadorians, etc. Also immigration really does need to be enforced. Blacks are lost cause for foreseeable future, Pres Johnson shackled them to the government matrix. So #1 is unlikely to die until identity politics do.

>>
>>138686464
Yeah they come in illegally and shit out kids at an alarming rate without contribute meaningful skills or a tax contribution. Therefore the collapse social services, depress areas already financially burdened with poor blacks and few whites, and create an army of Democratic (ie, welfare) voters for the next generation.

It is time to end birth right citizenship. Fuck "we are all immigrants". None of our allies (England, France, Germany, Australia, list goes on) still use birthright citizen. One parent at least had to be a citizen.

its not always easy to get an ID for poor people and black people are poor. the correct solution is to require ID but make IDs easy and free to get
>>
>>138688498

We should know minorities are too poor, lazy and incompetent to do something as basic as getting an ID so it's racist for us to expect them to have one,
>>
>>138688498
because blacks and mexicans are somehow physically or financially incapable of spending $15 at the dmv for an ID.

Somehow, saying that blacks and mexicans are either too fucking stupid or irresponsible with money to visit the dmv and pay $15 to get an ID isn't racist, but wanting them to have one because we want them to be treated as equals is racist.

I don't know..... Seems like bullshit, doesn't it?
>>
>>138689028
>the correct solution is to require ID but make IDs easy and free to get
Even when society sets things up to be as easy as possible for them, they still throw it back in our faces, say we're "racist" and demand more.

You're delusional. Trump's approval rating is 30% and it's only 6 months in. If he runs again Republicans would be lucky to get 100 electoral votes. Mark my words - Gen Z will be a Republican generation. Most of their parents are Gen X, who formed most of the people who put the Republicans in power during Reagan and later the Bush administration, and much like them they share a similar development history to their parents. Economic crisis as part of their childhood and adolescence, both parents working a lot; most of them don't have helicopter parents like the Millenials, with the great majority granting their children a high degree of autonomy, growing up in a world where someone you know could be sent to fight halfway across the globe for a war for a sphere of influence...

It's a turnaround for sure, they might even be surprisingly libertarian. The Republicans need to seize the moral high ground, however, and that's going to be difficult.
>>
>>138679393
The leaf is right. Of course they are Democrats though. They'll need some more time to devolve and then try to rebuild. If the Democrats can manage to run a competent and likable candidate in 2020 who isn't too far left, at this pace Trump shouldn't stand a chance.
>>
>>138682982

But does it outweigh the number of libs who stayed home because they thought Hillary had it/liked Bernie, as well as the Stein voters?

This election will have every leftie lib turn out for the Dems since the unthinkable happened with Trump winning.

If I was Trump I'd be nailing down Florida/Pennsylvania/Arizona as hard as I can since he still should comfortably have the rust belt most likely.

Congressional elections next year don't look too pretty for Dems. Senate's going to have like 5 blue senators in red states, plus some new blood in traditional blue states (Shiva in Mass). As for the House, it may be competitive, but unless they have a clear message, they're not gong to stand a chance. Even with a 2006-esque voting pattern the right would still have the house just because of geographics.

Gen Z is already showing strong signs of being very much a right-wing generation, even if not a conservative one so to speak. Brazil's growing libertarian population being a big example of the rise of right-wing voters in other countrues in the younger demographics - there are more libertarians there than in any other part of the world, and they're young. This coming from Brazil, a country which not long ago was essentially a socialist country.

Gen Z's a turnaround economically and in their view towards the government - not as much socially. Depending on how much Republicans seize a moral high ground, Gen Z might be an extremely important generation.
>>
>>138691941
I also compeltely forgot to fill in Alaska and Hawaii, kek. Oh well we know what they would be anyway.
>>
>>138691563
Gen Z is easily influenced and all young votes are on tone rather than policy or substance.

Whichever side that tries to "own" Gen Z more will lose with Gen Z. Whichever side that ignores Gen Z will lose with Gen Z.
The Democrat tendency to come out and say things like "You're With Us!" is what repels the Gen Z. Watch Trump rhetoric closely as the time approaches. If all he says is something like "All the young people like me" he'll be failing in the Gen Z catagory. If he comes out with a motivational rally like "All these swamp monsters don't understand you, they fear you! They're afraid that if they just step out your way and let you be free, they won't be relevant anymore!" he'll crush it.

Let's talk about a future reality: an economic downturn. We're due. Every market is overstretched, oversaturated, overinvested. The tech bubble will burst. Housing prices will plummet. Banks will fall. People will lose their jobs. People will lose their homes.

This will happen within Trump's presidency, guaranteed. The lower and middle class, that is 97% of this country, will be squeezed out of lives and their wealth. The rich will get richer, the poor will be dirt.

It's the economy, stupid.

Trump will get slaughtered in the next election.

He won't get the nomination.

He will hamfist his way out of a job he already has by deflecting blame and not doing anything.

I can definitely see why Trump would be popular with humor liking teenagers, it's just that afterwards I'm not sure what would happen with the right wing youth advantage. I don't see Warren or Biden getting that type of advantage at all, and Bernie already lost his chance (thank God), so yeah I see Trump having an advantage, but not other Republicans. And I wished the DC turdfest didn't have an effect on the rest of us, but I'm too cynical to believe that. As an example, just look at Obama's (Un)Affordable Care Act. A corrupt deal that cost Americans billions. If I thought it would placate their greed, I would support giving Congress a $10 million per year salary if they'd clean up their fucking mess. Sadly, I doubt even a hundred times that amount wouldn't be enough.

lol ou are so wrong.

I love people who are poltiical newbs try to make predictions.

I predicted trump at the end of 2015, I predict Trump in 2020 after a decent win for republicans in 2018

I would guess democrats will pickup steam in 2020 with some seats, maybe more in 2024.

Pence or some other republican will have "trumps third term" probably big losses for republicans in 2026, with trumps successor being ousted after a term to an opponent challenger.

Unless we have a war, or Turmp is an incredible success somehow down the line in which case Pence (or successor) will get 2 full terms.

>AZ go blue

Republicans have been on an upswing for a decade all the while the democrats claiming those states will be blue when in the end DEMOCRAT STRONGHOLDS in Wisconsin and Michigan flipped.

The Democrats ascribe to Marxism, they see themselves as the inevitable march of history of the oppressed rising up against the oppresors

But Marx was a fucking tard and thats not how it works in history.

From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Gadsden

"Christopher Gadsden (February 16, 1724 – August 28, 1805) was the principal leader of the South Carolina Patriot movement during the American Revolution and a soldier and politician from South Carolina. He was a delegate to the Continental Congress and a brigadier general in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War, a merchant, a slaveholder and slave trader. He was also the designer of the Gadsden flag."

An dead white slaveowner made the Gadsden flag. I'm sure he'd be welcome with open arms to *your* antifa rally, you retarded mongoloid fuck.

His enemies are even less popular than him. That is why he keeps winning elections he's supposed to be losing.

Look at the voter registration stats by states. He's GAINING voters in almost every swing state. Particularly big gains in Florida and Pennsylvania. While Ohio and North Carolina remain strong for him. Which means...

Romney states [inc NC] + OH + PA + FL
= 206 + 18 + 20 + 29 = 273

His re-election is already guaranteed. And that is the worst case scenario. Unless something big changes, Trump is gonna your President till 2025. Get used to him.

It all depends on who the Dems run as well as competing Republicans in the 2020 primaries or GOP candidates deciding to go independent...do not forget: There are neocon "NeverTrumpers" that have expressed interest in running against Trump in 2020, so it's not just the Dems you have to be worried about.

My predictions for Trump victories and failures depending on which candidate is chosen:

TRUMP WINS IF THE CANDIDATE IS...

>Kanye West (100% chance of a Trump win)
>Chelsea Clinton (95% chance of a Trump win)
>Zuckerberg (85% chance of a Trump win; Zuck may have an obscene amount of power but EVERYONE except TPTB hates this slimy fuck...remember, search "zuckerberg sweat")
>Hillary (80% chance of a Trump win)
>Tulsi Gabbard (75% chance of a Trump win...also, the only Dem or GOP candidate I'd actually be okay with him losing to)
>Ted Cruz (70% chance of a Trump win)
>Lincoln Chaffee (65% chance of a Trump win)
>Martin O'Malley (60% chance of a Trump win)
>John Kerry (55% chance of a Trump win)

TRUMP LOSES IF THE CANDIDATE IS...

>Biden (85% chance of a Trump loss)
>Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (80% chance of a Trump loss)
>Michelle Obama (80% chance of a Trump loss)
>Elizabeth Warren (75% chance of a Trump loss)
>Cory Booker (70% chance of a Trump loss)
>Bernie Sanders (65% chance of a Trump loss)
>Marco Rubio (60% chance of a Trump loss)
>John Kasich (60% chance of a Trump loss)
>Oprah Winfrey (55% chance of a Trump loss)
>Mark Cuban (55% chance of a Trump loss)

Trump will win in 2020
>>
>>138703003
NY in both scenarios is quite ambitious
>>
>>138702155
Trump has the issues that his core base is already fairly small, the left will no longer be cocky (the 90% chance of Hillary winning likely resulted in many Democrat voters staying home as they assumed Clinton would win anyway), and Trump despite the alienation of his base hasn't actually ingratiated himself to the left or even the core of the Republican party.

Honestly though at this point I want Trump and the entire Republican party to lose horribly in 2020, 2024, 2028, and 2032. Hopefully that would finally kill off the Republican party allowing a party with some young blood to actually change things. FFS I would rather have a radical Christian conservative party at this point over the Republican party and I'm an Atheist.

>an camp

The only reason Trump ran as a Republican was because he knew you simply aren't allowed to win as a 3rd party candidate. Imagine being a youngster running 3rd party, you'd have no chance. Hell, young people can't even drive or find jobs.
>>
>>138703217
the only place hillary clinton did considerably better than trump in new york was in the city, and even then i'm pretty sure trump was able to snag at least a couple boroughs
other than that it's trump territory
so depending on who the nominee is for the democrats, which they haven't even begun to toss out an idea about and campaigning will begin in about 18 months, they'll most likely lose new york. i don't see it being that crazy
>>
>>138703614
At least the theocrats wouldn't eat themselves alive. Seeing the Republican party being unable to pass even the most basic pieces of legislation that they have been talking about passing for half a decade and constantly attacking their president is downright pitiful.

>>138703731
Than maybe living in a pseudo one-party state would motivate people to rise up. Either way the US would be better off if the dying Republican party finally choked to death on its vomit.
>>
>>138703889
And yet you believe that Trump will gain votes in NY as a whole why? Who actually looks at Trump now and says "I didn't vote for him in November but I will probably vote for him in 2020"?
>>
>>138704042
People who have become disillusioned with the Democrat party.
Also, people don't have to vote for Trump for him to win, they just have to not vote Democrat. remember that.
>>
>>138704275
>People who have become disillusioned with the Democrat party.
Who is more disillusioned with the Democrat party now than in 2016? The Democrat party hasn't done anything horrible and have managed to hold the line keeping Trump care from passing. The Republican party meanwhile has enough dominance throughout the country to pass a constitutional amendement and couldn't replace OR repeal Obamacare which is something Republicans have been talking about pretty much since the moment it was passed. They passed multiple repeals while Obama was in office but once they have a Republican in office and they can pass repeals and not have them immediately vetoed they failed to accomplish anything.

>NY still blue

jesus dude i think you put entirely too much investment in people's opinions and feelings about the government passing health care bills and not nearly enough in the fact the democrats have completely lost their voter base anywhere outside of NYC and LA. Valid points but you asked for a positive Trump thing and negative Democrat thing and I gave em to ya and I believe they're adequate answers, may not get him NYC but I don't think he'll be as hated next election as he was in 2016, hard to imagine it
Personally I was hoping for a revolution in the DNC, I thought they'd rebuild themselves in an honorable and sellable way, never did I think they'd double down
But I guess that's because the DNC is more concerned with running (((their))) agenda these days than they are with impressing their base
