I get provided free movie tickets every month. I never use them. There is no good movies being released these days. Jews are a big part of this,but so are the Chinese, the consolation of media companies, as well as declining public self-respect.

Honestly though, I don't watch any movies or TV anymore. You think this might be hard for me, I don't even care. Friends always ask if I am working on a new project, I tell them I have left the industry and advise them to do the same.

Time I previously would have spent watching movies and TV, I spend watching academic lectures, listening to podcasts, reading, or working out.

I do have a collection of several thousand movies made over the past 80 years and occasionally I will watch one, but very rarely. Simply put, I have fallen out of love with visual arts. I have found more important things to do. And I don't really even miss it.

I thought the industry would revitalize itself. I was so wrong.

Although there are more independent films being made than ever, there are so many that it's difficult to find the good ones, so even less people watch them now. And almost none of them actually make it to the theater circuit, which is now totally locked down by the big studios. And what are those studios releasing with their stranglehold on theaters? Capeshit. More and more capeshit. Now, I like me a good super hero movie, I worked with Zack Snyder and he was a great mentor. But the market is so saturated, and yet PEOPLE KEEP BUYING TICKETS. So the studios have realized now what really sells tickets, marketable IPs that are already beloved. Studios are reluctant to make anything else these days because nobody will watch it. What's more, all these new blockbusters are made by committees, and are sanitized and scrubbed of any unique character for mass-market appeal (read:Rogue One, Fantastic Four).

A note on the Chinese: I actually prefer them to the Jews. Chinese culture is pretty conservative, and Communist Party doesn't want any social I'll introduced through Western media. So in order to appeal to the Chinese market, which is the biggest in the world, American studios are begrudgingly cutting back on depictions of drug use and homosexuality, as they are forbidden in Chinese cinemas. With movies I just avoid titles that look like obvious bullshit, and go in expecting the ones that look okay to be bullshit, and find myself often pleasantly surprised. I'm merely a republican though, not a nazi.. I've never had the patience for TV dramas but I'm sure it's similar there, just go in expecting it to be full marxist and you'll be happy when you find it's only subtly marxist. I would much rather read something or come post on here/chat with someone when I'm relaxing, or at least read a comic/manga or play a game. Apocalypto, No Country for Old Men and There Will be Blood were probably some of the best films ever made imo. Otherwise, I agree. Being kind of culturally neglected by zog has been a bigly positive thing for me. I've gotten a chance to read things I never would have, and it's like a personal renaissance if that makes sense. I would have never taken up art, focused on music this much or read Shakespeare without this cultural shift. At least, not until I was much older.

Maybe... Embrace the capeshit anon... I know this is unsolicited advice, but I never got my foot in the door. If you have opportunities, take them. You may not have a taste for capeshit, most don't, but in that there is room for you utilize your creativity, as the conventions seem so disgustingly stagnant to you. A lot of people who made a name for themselves in Hollywood did it with the niche of the era. Some of the greatest in the golden age considered Westerns to be hokum and antiquated. Now, when people get the chance to do a Western it's like they get giddy like little kids.

These capeshit stories are drawing off of Germanic/traditional Western hero stories, libshit feels, the technology of this era, etc... This mashup was sort of inevitable imo. If you have opportunity, and doing this is your passion, do it now. This niche and the time for opportunity will eventually pass. And maybe, if you build yourself up now in doing something you don't want to do, greater opportunities will come, and you'll have the power and reputation to do something that is more interesting and profound to you.
