For tonight's topic, The troop surge in Afghanistan.
I'll state I don't support Trump but to his credit I can't see us leaving this quagmire anytime soon. I would almost say annex the country. If we leave the same ISIS/Al queda shits come back in once the country falls to the Taliban. If we stay we have to put up with a corrupt government and un co-operative neighboring countries.
Granted it could be much worse. The current Afghan leader (Ghanii) is a 1000x better and on point then the past corrupt neo-con approved Karzi. But the only so much one man can do and the civilian government including the national police are still beyond shit.
The other part is the Taliban are for the most part operating out of Pakistan. There will never be any peace in Afghanistan if Pakistan doesn't factor into the equation.
