Awhile ago I dug around on their gov website looking for whether or not they would give an american with cash like that a permit to live there longer than the three month scheneg without having to go get a job there. I only found permits they give you to get a in demand job where there is a skill shortage. It's a shame Poland doesnt have something like this, I did find other countries in europe do give out a permit if you can prove you have enough money to last the length of your stay.
