The thing about Pascal's Wager that can be refuted is that there is a 3rd option to the parable that is not included (there is a god you are wrong about it however). But it doesn't matter one way or an other. By believing in a religion you only gain, even if you're wrong. This is because there are religions like Hinduism that give you props even if you do not believe in it. Meaning no matter the problem lets say 50/50 chance there is a god and there isn't 30/20 there is a god that punishes you for being wrong and there is a god that doesn't punish you. By believing in the 30% you still have a horse in the race, by not believing in one you are basically saying you won't play the lottery for free even though you may win 500 million dollars. It makes no sense, it is better to have the 71% chance of not being punished than the 70% chance any day of the week as you have only to gain an extra percentage. Excluding the moral gains you get from believing in a religion and cross overs some can have that may allow you to be rewarded. There is no real reason not to in my opinion plus how do you follow no religion when the second law of thermodynamics literally contradicts your entire view point?
