Native Nottingham lad here. Rough areas are: Radford, St Anns, Broxtowe, Hyson Greene, Basford.
Not too sure what it's like lately though since i've been out of england for the past 4 years. Nottingham is generally good though, a lot to do. Not too small, not too big, pretty diverse there isn't any dominant groups
