As another fellow Bulgarian who is watching this thing occur directly I've come to realize that it's actually very beneficial. Think about it, soon enough our companies will start experiencing mass labor shortages, so how do they fix those labor shortages? They will be forced by the harsh reality to rapidly robotize everything. And then Japan as well, South Korea, the rest of the Balkans and all the other societies that refuse to take in immigrants to replace the lack of births.

That way, those societies will be forced to embrace technology and robotization for their survival while all the others will enjoy their mediocrity of having human labor and being "just fine". Enough time will pass and those societies will start becoming leaders in automatization to the point that it becomes their culture, and when the rest of the Western world finally realize the power of AI and automatization it will already be too late, because all those countries would've embraced it far before them and would be far more efficient than them. Probably even the main exporters of such tech as well.

So don't get too sad that we're experiencing this crisis right now because it will end up being beneficial for us, while the rest of the world will be applying bandages and delaying this exact same thing until they finally give in and admit that they should robotize everything as well. There comes the problem tho - they will have millions of people unemployed due to that robotization, so how will they exactly do it? In that case not having millions of people unemployed ready to seize the means of production so they can feed themselves becomes a major advantage.
