Art isn't just the music of the soul, sometimes it can be something to strive for.
Pic related is a depiction of young Hercules. every time i want to skip working out, or slack, it helps to remind oneself of what could be. There's a strength that radiates from the stone, there. an ideal, in many ways.

Daily reminder that North Korean art is aesthetically superior to anything currently being produced in the West. This is the African Renaissance Monument, on the coast of Senegal. Are there any monumental structures recently erected in the west which even come close? I am seriously asking because I really like statues.
Seriously this sculpture is so trad and wholesome that niggers probably commit less rape just be looking at it.

Everyone knows that we'll have to do something with the commieblocks eventually. But that "something" won't happen for at least 30 years.
The planned lifespan of commieblocks was 20-30 years originally, but -fortunately or unfortunately- it turned out they remain stable even after 40, 50 or 60 years.

"Fascist" Portugal, actually Lisbon.
The Salazar bridge (original name, nowadays its the 25th April bridge in honour of the revolution that ended the regime that created the bridge). The first bridge in Lisbon to cross the Tagus, built in the 60s by private capital and the same guy who created the Golden Gate Bridge (or a descendent). Only 3 men died building the bridge, it was named Salazar (the "dictator") by the ones who build it, Salazar was against its construction because it was "a waste of money".
On the horizon, the monument of Christ the King, build by Salazar's regime in the early 50s to guard Lisbon and as a token of gratitude for Portugal being spared to the horrors of WWII and the communists winds blowing during the Spanish Civil War.
Aesthethic as fuck, build by the Nationalist New State in the mid XX century, and today still a mark instantly recognised by all in Lisbon.

A modern paintig depicting the arrival of the Portuguese to the Cape of Capetown, South Africa in 1471.
Many of our ships had sunk around that cape. The ships departed and never came back. We named it the Cape of Torment. There were tales of a huge giant monster called Adamastor that created storms no ship could escape and sunk them all.
Bartolomeu Dias eventually crossed the Cape of Torment in 1471 and renamed it Cape of Good Hope.
