I would lean towards the belief that there IS a higher power simply because the notion that everything exists for no reason and it all came out of nowhere is completely silly to me.
On top of that, if there was a combustion of chemicals that caused the 'big bang', they clearly existed before the big bang happened, therefore we can't really claim that nothing existed before like many people try to.
Even more so, our ecosystem and the way everything evolved and works in a very specific way which is almost TOO perfect feels like mere coincidence, but again all I know is that I don't know everything.
How can we really say what's beyond our own galaxy or dimension when the furthest we have ever physically been is our own moon? We have telescopes sure, and that's fantastic, but the things we can see with our eyes don't tell us everything we need to know about what's beyond where we've been.
But yes, long story short, I would side with theist beliefs before siding with atheist disbelief.

Every function in life can be accurately explained by science. But that still doesn't suspend any disbelief. Look at Evolution and DNA. DNA is so complex and literally codes organisms to look like what they are, and it just sort of came out of nowhere. There is such a diversity of organisms caused by random mutations and natural selection, it's really hard to accept it all happened by complete chance, even though thats the most likely cause. Also look at birds and sexual selection. They have a sense of appeal so great, Males can have the most amazing colors, patterns, courtship behavior, and other features just because a Female thought it looked good and her offspring would benefit. Look at the human body and nervous system. Thousands of complex functions that work automatically and unconsciously keep us alive with very little maintenance, with a few exceptions to those who are genetically unfortunate. Our brains became self aware and conscious of ourselves and our future, so we became the most successful organism on the planet. The fact that this all happened by chance and coincidence is almost unbelievable, and I think that's where a god comes in which no one can prove nor disprove.

I think its amazing, even in spite of the amount of generations and years it took, that behaviors and functions like that could evolve naturally without any sort of intervention. I don't think an anthropormorphic deity guided evolution or anything like that, but there is a certain wonder that this all even happened. So, the miracle of Life itself could be called God just because everything aligned so perfectly for life to exist as it is today, and to say it's pure coincidence is logical but unsatisfyingly hard to believe at the Macro level. Belief in some sort of hidden underlying force can help make the picture complete and people can go on living their lives rather than live in existential dread every day.
