That first chapter was pretty interesting stuff. It reminds me of some of the stuff Kent Hovind did in his Creation Science Evangelism series. I don't agree with all of it but he goes into some crazy awesome shit about how the spiral can be turned and rotated different directions to make every letter in the Hebrew alphabet and a lot of other stuff like that. Worth checking out if you've never seen it and like that kind of stuff.

Language does shape perception of reality, any language. To put it in layman terms humans define reality through language, you think and reason through language. Even learning modern languages (well) is a relatively huge paradigm shift and make a big impact in how you think and see the world.

Just to make a stupid example off the top of my head, Japanese language (and a lot of other languages actually) didn't have a distinction in words between the color blue and green until recently, they regarded it as the same color.
