The Nazi government was state capitalist that commandeered 50% of the GDP into the war effort. The industries that were nationalized were all defense related. The government did boost some social welfare programs but over 90% of discretionary spending went to the military and the expansion of the government.

The problem with Russia's economy (I was an economic major) is wealth concentration. The handful of Russian billionaires are siphoning wealth from what used to be state resources and shipping it out of the country. Wealth flight.

With the wealth reduced and concentrated in the hands of a few individuals, there is less money in circulation and the velocity of money flows through the economy. The economy then stagnates.

The same thing happens in America when the billionaires buy legislation from Congress that serves only the financial interests of billionaires, not the people.

The best society is one that abolishes violence so that ppl are free to live by reason alone, and for example investment where I give money to an inventor and get some of the profit from his invention's sales, all agreed on beforehand, is a legit and *rational* transaction. I'm afraid that a stateless society would have no objectivity in terms of interpreting contracts agreed on beforehand, instead mob rule.

Slavery is bad, as it's enforced with violence, however America after the Civil War continued building without slaves. Now, the problem is that companies are more than willing to accept "dirty" labor, for example political convicts and children in despotic countries, and "dirty" money from dictators, so while the iPhone wasn't invented by slaves, a lot of the manufacturing is by slaves today.

I think you and I have the same concerns but different solutions.
