There is literally nothing you can do that wold benefit you & your country than becoming a Catholic priest. Saw someone in the last thread say he was contemplating it, but thought getting married & having kids would be better for the West. This is wrong for these reasons:

As a priest you (obvious spiritual elements aside):
- Depending on your parish, have anywhere from 100 to over a 1,000 people listening to you every Sunday. Even more coming to you for baptisms etc. This gives you more of a reach to instill strong values, encourage people to have more children etc than you'll ever have as non-priest
- You're also likely to have at least one school over which you automatically become the head governor. Allowing you to implement certain practices in that school (more focus on reading the Catechism, teaching the evils of modern liberalism etc)
- You automatically become part of a brotherhood that is spread throughout the globe. Making it easier for networking & getting people involved in campaigns etc

tl;dr if you're not married, give serious consideration to the priesthood

I'm lost. Nihlism has crept into my very soul, but what's worse- is that I wish to purge it but I can't.

I want to purge the Nihlism that has taken my soul, but to do so requires purging society. I try to go to mass, but all I can think of is how the world is burning and needs to be saved while we're in mass.

I also can't stand the songs in English. I feel it's way too protestant with all the 'Jesus I love you rah rah-' it feels all superficial with no heart

That nihilism you speak of can be alleviated by dedicating yourself to change your final complaint. There is a growing movement that seeks to return the Church to how it used to be before it was subverted.

This is the past, present & future of Catholicism

A brit Catholic? Well guess you're not all heretics. Still, if you get married before you enter the clergy, you can have both a wife and clergy duties. I think you just have to abstain from sex once you're clergy. But if you have a kid beforehand, I'm not sure that's forbidden either.

There's more Catholics than Anglicans these days

>Roman Catholics have overtaken Anglicans as the country's dominant religious group. More people attend Mass every Sunday than worship with the Church of England, figures seen by The Sunday Telegraph show.

Thank you anon, I will try it. Society is a rotting corpse and we must ensure it does not infect the Church. I would say that (((they))) have done a good job at that so far, and it will be an uphill battle-but we have God on our side, eh?

The church needs to be more active in this world, and it is our job as its members to push it to that goal

When you consider the Church is 2000 years old, liberals have held sway for a really short time; 50 years or so. But it's a self-defeating ideology. It doesn't create vocations. Trad, orthodox Catholicism does. Our duty, & we should count ourselves fortunate for living in such a time for the reward will be great, is to hasten up the process of the victory of true Catholic teaching, worship etc.

Irrelevant sacred scripture is one part of the faith, we are informed by sacred tradition as well.

Why do priests not get married? They do not marry because --
The single life is a holier life, recommended by Christ;
Being single, they can give themselves entirely to God and the care of the people.
"He that is without a wife, is solicitous for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please God. But he that is with a wife, is solicitous for the things of the world, how he may please his wife: and he is divided." (1 Corinthians 7:32-33)

Christians never benefited any country on planet. They probably think their spreading of cancer Christianity and creation of monarchies was of any benefit to anybody, it was beneficial for them, nobody else. You on your high horse of moral laws are doing nothing moral for country, nothing at all. You excuse criminals, support elites who ruin countries, support slavery, support importation of slaves, you yourself are a Jew organization that launders money and are connected to mafia. All you are is your fancy dress, like those suit elites, nothing about you is helping anybody.

>At the Traditional Latin Mass Holy only the priest who celebrates the Mass consumes the Most Precious Blood. So at the Traditional Latin Mass the faithful receive the Sacred Host. But it is of the utmost importance to understand that when the faithful receive the Sacred Host they receive the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, truly and substantially present in every particle of the Holy Eucharist.

That doesnt make sense if you get everything through the body then why even mention the blood at all unless it means people experience vicariously through the priest.

I ask as the Orthodox include the blood/wine and their mass is about 500-600 years older.

It seems like a serious thing to not include, have Catholics always done this?

Disassociating words from actions is what Nihilism does to survive as a dogma, a completely theoretical alternate reality.
The charlatan salesman will excuse himself by claiming that language is insufficient to describe the profound insights he is offering.
There are no words adequate top explain the 'truth' of his product.

He switches terminology adding a nuance into the concept that is not necessary, connecting it to his true motive.
In selling, a product a name is chose to represent it. A name title symbol that evokes a specific emotion, sensation, image, hinting at something more than is required for the utility of the product - its effectiveness.
The name is always 'positive' in emotional content.
The name acts as a bridge between product, and something other, to connect it to that other, that other idea(l).
Then repetition and habituation makes the two linked in the mind of the consumer.
When he hears the name of the product the sensations, imagery, feelings that have been associated with it spring out of the psyche, automatically. the mind begins to believe the two are tautologies.

Like how Christianity used the name 'love', for its Deity.

Other may choose a word that hides the origins of the idea(l), pretending it is something new, or that subtlety inserts a concept that does not belong there, to then link it with what is incompatible with it.
This is how Christianity took Pagan concepts, rituals, renamed them, and then associated them with something that contradicts paganism with the new word they chose.
The incompatible, the antithetical, are now linked, in the mind of the simpleton consumer faith believer.
The new word is a conduit synthesizing the incompatible, in ambiguity. It is the point of reference where two opposite concepts merge, but do not mix.
Compartmentalization.
the word becomes mystical, so as to hide the paradoxes that it produces, the contradictions.

So then it is a mortal sin? Then I probably shouldn't have been taking Communion for when I did go to mass.

>In order for a sin to be mortal, it must meet three conditions:

Mortal sin is a sin of grave matter
Mortal sin is committed with full knowledge of the sinner
Mortal sin is committed with deliberate consent of the sinner

There are other factors that come into play, like if someone is depressed, if an act is habitual (which is harder to break).

just confess anyway if you are unsure.

Okay I read up on it a little. Masturbation is the worst sexual act, but rape is worse because it's a sin in three categories.
>>
>>138334308
Masterbation itself is not a sin. Lustfulness is however. The desire is sinful but the act is not, I guess? Something a priest told me.

For me it's habitual because I've always looked at hardcore porn since my teens and have masturbated a few times a week regularly. I regret stumbling on my first porn mag, which happened at a book store in the bathroom that someone left around.

I can't claim ignorance because I know it's a sin. Masturbation is a grave sexual act, but not a sin in other categories, so I'm still confused about how grave it is.

it sounds a bit odd, but when i was younger i always wanted to join the army to do something that was combat orientated, but due to medical circumstance (colourblind) i found myself in a job designed to help and save people instead of fight. something i honestly didnt think i would find myself in. im still in training though but for some reason i cant help but think that perhaps its fortunate i was prevented from being a frontline soldier even though it frustrates me a bit at times to think about the fact i ought to serve, being willing and able when there are so many people that are able that arent willing.

Do these intimate sensations happen by itself? You should get that checked out by a professional. A medical professional. A doctor.

The tridentine mass has been celebrated since at least the 6th century in Rome, so its probably older, from apostolic origin. It's only called "tridentine" today because it was standarized by S Pius V after the council of Trent. Ther correct term is Roman Rite.

50s to 80s were the bad archtetiture period. Unfortunately, if you live in the suburbs, that's probably when your church was built. Most American Catholics lived in the cities before the 50s, so that's where the architecturally pleasing Catholic churches are. The suburbs were rural and filled with WASPs (Long Island, for instance, was super Anglo farmland before the Italians and Irish fled NYC).

The American church with the best architecture is probably the Episcopalians. Hopefully we'll be able to buy their church buildings at some point, though I'm not too optimistic.

I'd suggest people try to go to a Sung or High Latin Mass first (a missa cantana or missa solemnis). Many Latin Masses are "low masses" where the priest privately celebrates the mass at the alter without any musical accompaniment, incense, etc.. At a low mass, if you're not in the first two rows you probably won't even be able to tell the priest is speaking Latin. I have nothing against the Low Mass, but it can be very jarring for first timers.

Into the trash. This shit is way more common than anyone realises, especially in the third world.

The Catholic Church is pedophile hotspot because of its ideology of feeling guilty about sex. Gays that don't want to be gay become priests so they don't have to think about their sexuality - end up abusing boys, then tell themselves it's okay because if they tell Jebus when they die they still go to heaven. They get off on the feeling of guilt and forgiveness and think it brings them closer to God. It's fundamentally an ideology that celebrates sterility and death.

That's all I have at the moment about Christians against pajeets. Im going to read the City of God which is Augustine against the pagans. I have some more quotations Here's noe of them. They're very usefull against atheists. I recomend the gospel of Luke and then Acts, Luke says in it that he took care to write all the events in Chronological order, he's very autustic, it's great

Many of the Jews settled in those parts have been brought to the font of baptism more by force than by preaching. Now, I consider the intention in such cases to be worthy of praise, and allow that it proceeds from the love of our Lord. But I fear lest this same intention, unless adequate enforcement from Holy Scripture accompany it, should either have no profitable result, or even (which God forbid) the loss of the souls which we wish to save should further ensue. For, when any one is brought to the font of baptism, not by the sweetness of preaching, but by compulsion, he returns to his former superstition, and dies the worse from having been born again. Let, therefore, your Fraternity stir up such men by frequent preaching, to the end that through the sweetness of their teacher they may desire the more to change their old life. For so our purpose is rightly accomplished, and the mind of the convert returns not again to his former vomit. Wherefore discourse must be addressed to them, such as may burn up the thorns of error in them, and illuminate what is dark in them by preaching, so that your Fraternity may through your frequent admonition receive a reward for them, and lead them, so far as God may grant it, to the regeneration of a new life.

Tell him that I have long been considering with myself about the case of the Angli; to wit, that the temples of idols in that nation should not be destroyed, but that the idols themselves that are in them should be. Let blessed water be prepared, and sprinkled in these temples, and altars constructed, and relics deposited, since, if these same temples are well built, it is needful that they should be transferred from the worship of idols to the service of the true God; that, when the people themselves see that these temples are not destroyed, they may put away error from their heart, and, knowing and adoring the true God, may have recourse with the more familiarity to the places they have been accustomed to. And, since they are wont to kill many oxen in sacrifice to demons, they should have also some solemnity of this kind in a changed form, so that on the day of dedication, or on the anniversaries of the holy martyrs whose relics are deposited there, they may make for themselves tents of the branches of trees around these temples that have been changed into churches, and celebrate the solemnity with religious feasts. Nor let them any longer sacrifice animals to the devil, but slay animals to the praise of God for their own eating, and return thanks to the Giver of all for their fullness, so that, while some joys are reserved to them outwardly, they may be able the more easily to incline their minds to inward joys.

If we have to consult concerning military affairs, the opinion of a man experienced in warfare should be waited for, and his counsel be followed; when the question concerns religion, think upon God. No one is injured because God is set before him. He keeps his own opinion. You do not compel a man against his will to worship what he dislikes. Let the same liberty be given to you, O Emperor, and let every one bear it with patience, if he cannot extort from the Emperor what he would take it ill if the Emperor desired to extort from him. A shuffling spirit is displeasing to the heathen themselves, for everyone ought freely to defend and maintain the faith and purpose of his own mind.

WRONG. the real reason that Calvin and Luther wanted to ban James is because he quotes Sirach almost directly, there is no other passage of sCripture that could be even close, affirming it's status as Canon Scripture among the Deuterocanonicals

James 1

>Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Sirach 15 quoted by James
Do not say: “It was God’s doing that I fell away,”
for what he hates he does not do.
Do not say: “He himself has led me astray,”
for he has no need of the wicked.
Abominable wickedness the LORD hates
and he does not let it happen to those who fear him.
God in the beginning created human beings
and made them subject to their own free choice.
If you choose, you can keep the commandments;
loyalty is doing the will of God.
Set before you are fire and water;
to whatever you choose, stretch out your hand.
Before everyone are life and death,
whichever they choose will be given them.
Immense is the wisdom of the LORD;
mighty in power, he sees all things.
The eyes of God behold his works,
and he understands every human deed.
He never commands anyone to sin,
nor shows leniency toward deceivers.

You realise that child abuse is an extremely sensitive thing and most victims don't come forward until theyre adults right? The true scale of Catholic pedophilia will always remain hidden, you've developed methods to hide this shit since the Middle Ages. Why is America so degenerate that we can't build churches like this? You sadly can't tell the difference between a catholic church from a methodist one without having a sign indicating which is which .

I'm an atheist but I want to join the catholic church and maybe one day become a deacon and a knight of malta
>>

>who forbid it
Literally Jesus in Mark 10
>God made them male and female. For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother; and shall cleave to his wife. And they two shall be in one flesh. Therefore now they are not two, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

This is legit one of the best threads on /pol/ in a while. Thanks OP.

I finally made the return to the Church this year after being a fedora from age 16-23 (25 now). If anyone in the thread is considering returning, please go to confession and talk with your local priest I cannot recommend this enough.

For those Catholics in here, what advice do you have in terms of chastity? I have been giving up masturbation and porn more and more, to the point that I relapse maybe once every month. However, I have been dating a Catholic girl for the past 5 months and we have been practicing chastity even though we both are not virgins. I am so glad we are, because I have never experienced a relationship like this before, and we truly feel closer through Christ.

That being said, this also means I have never been this sexually attracted to someone before, and I am scared that at some point in the future we both will justify further sexual acts because of this. Any advice on what to do? I am a graduate student so I really don't think I can responsibly get married anytime soon as I couldn't really support a family.

I'm glad you like them. Here's some more from the desert fathers, the first monks. They lived hard lives as monks but they, unlike the Brahamins never asked anyone else to do it and for their own enjoyment, not to be right with God, basically they were neets who wanted to flee from Normies in Alexandria (an edgey city).

"Abba Pambo asked Abba Anthony, 'What ought I do? The old man said to him, 'Do not trust in your own rightouesness, do not worry about the past, but control your tongue and your stomach."

Saint Anthony once said, "Some have afflicted their bodies by asceticism but they lack discernment they are far from God."

Saint Arsenius once said: "The thousands and ten thousands of heavenly host have but one will, while men have many. So I cannot leave God to be with men."
And "Strive with all your might to bring your interior activity into accord with God, and you will overcome exterior passions."

Marriage doesn't equate raising a family outright, though you do become family with your wife. But having post martial sex will eventually grant you a child. You should marry but try to abstain until you're ready for child. Or you could try having sex on times where she is not close to having her period.
>>
>>138345323
>some have afflicted their bodies by asceticism
I can relate to that

Sounds like a very interesting book, I will add it to the list as well. It makes me sad that this stuff isn't more widely known/recommended as essential reading for western society. Lot of knowledge in these works.

>>138345176
I know grad students who manage to have families. Better marry than fornicate and sully the beautiful relationship you have now.

To all here who want kids and be eccleciastic, become a deacon.
Marry a girl, then study to become a deacon, be ordained and bam.

Serious question: How does one become a Christian when all around I see the church cucking in all forms? I want to join because I I genuinely believe in a higher power and bettering yourself. Local churches all hiding illegals and raising money for refugee setttlements and stuff like that

If you had decided to debate and converse with us on these threads because you simply wanted to win us over. I would have accepted that and had no issue with that. You are welcome since Orthodox are our Eastern Catholic brothers, no matter our differences. However you do this for "payback" which is a sin.
>If we gain our brother we have gained God, but if we scandalise our brother, then we have sinned against God.
- Saint Anthony the Great, a Desert Father

Do you have a crucifix in your room? Get a statue or hang a rosary around your bed post or something. Anything that keeps your mind on the reason why you want to remain chaste. An icon or statue next to your laptop is good for this too

WRONG!

The Catechism of the Catholic Church states:

All the ordained ministers of the Latin Church, with the exception of permanent deacons, are normally chosen from among men of faith who live a celibate life and who intend to remain celibate "for the sake of the kingdom of heaven."

There's a difference between what the Bible says and the Church Fathers, and what some pleb faggot says. My point is taht the Church has Orthodoxy, a correct way of doing things, it's not all reletive as it is with paganism, for example, or Atheism. Just because lots of Churches are doing X doesn't mean it's righteous of good doctrine. Remember that the Church Fathers are on our side as are the Scriptures, let the law give you confidence.

>>138348396
This doesn't address my point with you, this is what niggers do and it's also very edgey
