I would love to go to Russia. I love Russian culture and history; and I am a massive fan of Russian literature. So I have a pretty idealised, or romanticised, view of Russia. I'm sure it would be very different in real life compared to my idealised view.

With politics, I have mixed feelings. I sort of admire Putin as a leader and for his general vision for the country, but its pretty obvious he's and his associates are very corrupt.

I unironically think that Russia is the best place to live, and here is why:

Russia is the only place on Earth that has a strategic backup, behind Urals, in case of any sort of major war or catastrophe, and lets face it, such things happen every 100 years, especially when people think they wont happen.
People think that Russia is poor, tyrannical and backwards, but they do not understand that this is because of requirements to transport food to the behind Ural regions because that place has 10 months of winter, and because all trading ports are frozen almost whole year. And without centralization, people wouldnt think in the long term, fully democratic Russia would destroy itself into rich, but small and defenseless republics.
When it comes to missile technology, number of satellites, and even biology laboratories, Russia seems to top all of these numbers, meaning that Russia is extremely developed.
As for society, now that Soviet regime is destroyed everyone can become rich if they are worth something, the poor in Russia are poor because they didnt study anything useful, Russian doctors/engineers/scientists are paid as much as European ones, some are even more because Russia focuses more on scientific outposts in the Arctic and in military development that Europeans who put that extra focus into making life better for the lazy unproductive poor.
