There is a reason our only major military base near Perth is the SASR. You guys have been trying for succession since the 30s. The second it becomes serious enough to be a threat 250 SASR operators and 1500 signalman go under ground and start killing all of your leaders and dismantling the movement in the space of a day or so. Same reason our Navy is based in Adelaide, strategic positioning.

I would also like to point out you have neither the will nor manpower to pull this off and this is nothing more than the failing of some ancap mining tycoons from pre ww2 who thought they could start their own private state. Even a cursory review of potential votes for such a referendum at its height returned incredibly poor odds you would get enough for a legal succession vote.
