I lost a LOT of faith in trump after the loss of bannon, bannon had some great ideas based on what worked historically. hopefully this really is part of some grand plan, but I'm not banking on it.

Think of it like that. Bannon is going where he can do the most good. Besides, after Trump won Bannon said he'd only work at the White House for 8-12 months, so this was expected.
