So there seems to be a dispute between us over terminology. Your point is that ancap and libertarianism arent the same thing. I was using libertarianism as an umbrella term where ancap would fall under as part of a fringe extreme. My point is, if you push libertarianism far enough, you get ancap. Does that make sense?

Of course libertarianism currently supports ancap. However, that is just because they are to the right of the current government. Libertarians do NOT believe in having no government at all. I gave a practical example of why libertarians are closer to commies than to ancaps, now let's go theoretical. Libertarians are closer to commies because they do indeed support the initiation of force (the state). Libertarians may think that they are very clsoe to ancaps because they view the use of force as a spectrum depending on the amount of things force is being used for. However, force is first a binary and then a gradient.

Ancaps say no to the first and it ends there. Libertarians say yes to the first and then go on to disagree with commies on how much force. Libertarians and ancaps disagree on core principles.
