You do realize almost all of the politics of today are in part in existence because all politics prior.

What Obama did and Trump is doing in term of identify politics will a major role likely for most of our lifetimes and likely our children and grand-children's lifetimes.

Also, the power of identify politics is too much for the left to resist now that they are out of direct power in the US. They need to play to their strengths and being the party of minorities and anti-white while Trump is in office is too much for them to resist.

Also, the base of both parties in the US really do not care what harm they do as long as the forecast for elections is in their favor. If hating Trump and white people play into the hands of the idea of a non-white America why would Democrats not want to be the party that gives the white hate a home?

No. The left can never allow that, and race will never allow that. Let me explain. The nation was founded by European whites, therefore all the major historical figures are white. The only other people allowed in the nation were slaves, and at that point they weren't really classified as people. It was assumed the nation would consist of European stock forever, since nobody in that era would even dream of a non-Christian multicultural, multiethnic, multiracial society, to them avoiding those things was obvious, like saying the sky was blue.

The moment the slaves gained a vote and were considered people, they became a political group. The democrats seized on this, since we live in somewhat of a democracy. Now the democrats made efforts to pull in more foreign groups that they could promise the white country to, like the mestizos. Neither of these groups, blacks or mestizos, can directly identify with the history of America until they have either taken it over or radically changed it to fit their views, effectively 'refounding' the nation. MLK is a good example of this, which is why he is mentioned so often, he is one of the first 'new founding fathers', Obama will be another. As time has gone on the communists have taken this to more and more of an extreme, now the most radical among them want more than just the confederate statues taken down, they want founding statues taken down too. Once the confederate are done they will move onto the next step. It is just another slippery slope like all the others. The Constitution, a document written by White slaveholders for a nation of whites, will follow.
