Africans live in a paradise. They had no reason to develop the technologies everyone else did, so they stayed in the stone age. It worked fine until colonization and western advancements were brought to Africa. Now its extremely overpopulated and completely dependent on the West.

Agriculture was essentially possible as factors like the Tsetse fly made hunter-gatherer lifestyles far more viable, save for locations like Egypt, etc.

Whether or not this only produced cultural/civilisational stagnation, or the lack of environmental pressures on intelligence are the cause of modern day Africa is a matter I'm not entirely certain of yet.
