I'm not sure I understand the concept of "Identity Politics", but I bet it's that. Create small groups that identify with each other, whites, blacks, gays, traps, WASPs, preppies, etc. And then turn them against each other. We in the middle don't really identify with any of those groups, so don't hate as easily. I think that dark forces are capitalizing on this human nature to create chaos.

How do you deal with the fact that democracy is your worst enemy, and that extremism has a much better chance of success in a democratic election because it is not as disadvantaged in two party and multi-party systems?
