Poles are Slavs, who where ruled by mongols (they also invited arabs to rule them - that is official, later they told, that they invited arabs as counselors, but god damn there where a shitload of them). Name comes from "Polovtsy", which was officially one of the branches of the big horde.

Pomeranians are 100% slavs. Name comes from them being sea folk and living from fishing "on sea" - "po more".

Prussians are half-slavs, half-gotts. The "rus" root is the same. Modern forms of the word is sometimes "Prueßen", but some derivatives of "Rus" includes "Ruthens", some latin sources name "Rus" as "Rutheni". So clearly original -s- was not cleanly spelled.

Word "Rus" are sometimes used to describe "Vikings" in the oldest documents.
