National Socialism, at least so far as it was implemented by the NSDAP in Germany, would be more accurately called Social Nationalism.
The core of the philosophy is Nationalism, with the modifier Social indicating the method of implementation. Hitler wanted to further his Volk, and did so using the power of the social movement he created.

Fascism, as practiced by Mussolini, tended to rely more on corporate support, and could be called Corporate Nationalism - he wanted to further his people using the power of corporate bodies. This is why Fascism and National Socialism are similar, despite appearing diametrically opposed in normal left/right terms.

Naziism is socially conservative but economically just left of center. Economically it's based on the same Keynesian theories that our economy and government are based on, but with a few other government services like socialized healthcare. It's private ownership of the means of production, but the government funnels public money into private companies to make things. Full left socialism means the government owns the means of production, and full right capitalism means there's no public money going into private businesses the state is completely out of businesses, "the free market" does everything, and no nation entirely based on full free market has ever had adequate infrastructure, so go figure.

But anyway, Nazism and Fascism are socially conservative, which is where the "right" ideology links get associated with them. When Neo Nazis are praising the third reich they're not praising their third position economics that are left of center. They're praising the racially based social conservatism.
