From my pocket. Lets say I have $10K saved. A car I want to buy is exactly $10K after taxes. The dealer says to me I could either

A. pay him my entire $10K at once, or

B. pay him in monthly installments, with interest, until I pay it off.

Option B sounds better because I can continue working and I also won't lose my entire savings at once. With option B I'll also have money left over when I'm done paying off the car.

Left over from what? Your 10K savings? Sure, but only because you've been paying more out of pocket recurring. If you pay upfront and just put what you would have been paying monthly into a savings account you'll end up with more money "left over" at the end.

There is, in theory, some merit to this, but only if your risk free rate of return is higher than the APR on the financing plan (because then you're better off investing the money - you still pay more than the lump sum but your investment appreciated enough to cancel that out and you come out ahead). It almost never is - pretty much the only time this works is if you can get a 0% APR financing deal (which can happen in the auto industry)

As an 22 year old American Millennial its both sad and somewhat amusing that i'm ahead of the majority of my generation by merit of simply working since I was 16, working to put myself through school/pursuing scholarships, having good credit and zero debt.

Im the person who gets accused of white priviledge even though I come from a single parent household lower middle class household because if you're a conservative white millennial with no debt and more than $20 it must mean your plantation owning parents paid for everything and not that you had half a gram of goddamn common sense and didnt buy things you couldnt afford and paid off necessary debts as soon as possible.

Anybody have that chart stating that like less than 10% of Millennials have more than $10,000 to their name? What a joke.

I don't see it. I was born towards the beginning of Gen Z and live in an area ~50% white. The white kids around my age and 2-3 years younger (born ~2000) have no real racial awareness. It seems like even if my generation is more "conservative" than Millennials (probable), we are looking like the beginning stages of mongrelization.
>>
>>137947146
That doesn't make sense since the article says they don't "have a desire to put them on a credit card."

I think financing is more like when you buy from a retailer on payments and up paying $4000 for your $2000 couch. Like rent-to-own from rent-a-center. Rent-a-center will sell to people with no credit at all because of the high profit margins.
>>

it's still buying on credit, it's just not using a credit card company to issue the credit

I know you're probably too young to know but gen y were once like gen z, before the media and college indoctrination. You're also probably too stupid to see the bigger picture. Gen y are coming of age. This millennial horseshit propaganda doesn't reflect gen y at all, just the city metropolitan faggots that will always be there and have always been there. The point is to rally everyone against against this upcoming generation of people who have the potential to change things. It's literally a cult tactic, to bring people down so you can mold them the way you want. It's also just another divide and conquer way to slice the pie. And also, if you believe a much more non-White group of people that yet has to go through common core education and more radical college indoctrination will save us, you are mistaken.

Speaking as an American Millennial in reference to other American Millennials, im not being hard at all. I worked a lot of different jobs in my early and late teens and didnt start finding more steady jobs until later. I went through a lot of applications and didnt turn down anything I got even if it was unappealing work like picking crops or roofing or throwing freight or working at a shoddy tech support call center. I dont know what the work situation is in the UK so I cant speak for it but any amount of honest work, determination and a bit of tenacity can get you SOMETHING here in the states. I have zero respect or sympathy for the numales who cant sack up to get a job. Also buying garbage you cant afford simply because "you want it" and treating debts like they dont exist is just stupidity anyone can see.

Yeah the housing situation is shot here too. All the more reason to have your affairs in order.

Gen Xers were super leftist in the 90s when they were young and stupid.

Early-mid 80s millennials were in college when Dubya was President (Daily Show, War on Errorism, American Idiot, etc) and largely found work/got their foot in the door during the overspending boom of the mid-00s. These were the self-important participation trophy millennials who moved to Brooklyn to pursue their dreams of becoming a dog barber (which is a very 90s thing in itself and sprouted from the "do nothingism/weird" scene mid-90s Gen Xers started)

Later millennials were coming of age just as the recession hit. Jobs were nowhere. Obama-mania was in full swing and social media propaganda 1.0 began unfurling (Yay!! Arab Spring!! so beautiful).

By and large, though, we are far more conservative in our 20s than boomers were in their 40s.

Let's break another false narrative.

I was born in 1993. I had to fill out 130 applications before I got a fast food job. I found Obama-mania disgusting and blame it as the major catalyst behind the "not being a lefist sheep = racism" propaganda that's spiraled out of control.

That said, I've never once voted Democrat and I never will. I know how to live on an $8 a week food budget, though I hope I'll never have to again. I detest banks, have a nicely maintained car and truck that, together cost $1300 (about $2500 after putting some work into them) and are paid in full.

We are largely the kids of boomers, which means we are either the by-product of the last large generation of useful idiots, or the ones who were off fighting wars to protect them. Either-or. Which one do you think is leasing fidget spinners?

I don't doubt it.

Every millennial I know is in debt or has a bad credit rating. I have friends who financed cars for 50,000$ and they don't even really understand how loans or interest even works. Iv tried to explain to them that the 50,000$ they borrow is more like 80,000-100,000 to repay over a 5 year period. But it all goes over there head and they don't care.

They just want things now and banks or finance companies are lining up to give them cash.

An attempt to make the neighborhood appear cosmetically pleasing and maintain/bring up values.

For certain jobs, yes. Finance type jobs don't want to hire people with money problems, because money has a habit of "disappearing". Also, if you suck with money personally, why would you do good with money in a work environment?

a woman obviously wants to know your credit score because she likely has a shitty one and will never be able to get that mcmansion on her own.

car insurance uses it similar to finance jobs: to see your ability to afford shit. if they see you have a history of paying timely (unlike niggers), you'll get a lower rate because you're a less risky customer than Tyrone McNiggerbiggums.

HOA keeps your property value from being absolutely fucked by some nig buying the house next door to yours in a foreclosure sale and parking 5 cars on his lawn, leaving garbage everywhere, never trimming his landscaping and making your house extremely undesirable.

The only thing that is gay about HOAs is that some of their fees are fucking outrageous.

Everyone thinks it's crazy to pay an entry fee to a beach, or pay more than 9$ for a beer that you could get for $3 anywhere else, but it's not always about what you get for the money, it's about what you DON'T get.
You DON'T get: blacks and mexicans trying to fight you and steal your shit or rape the girls you're with, poor people begging you for money, people leaving trash and shit everywhere, people with noisy kids, etc. When people have to pay $20 to get inside somewhere, they usually treat it much nicer than when you let them in for free. HOAs only exist for the maintenance of a bubble. Theoretically, we could build homes for 20K. But that would devalue the cost of the other homes in the area. And reduce the ability of homeowners to leverage credit based on their home.

It's a fucking sick system. It's past generations feeding their children to Moloch for money. There's no reason why, in a physical sense, people should be homeless. We have enough empty homes to reduce the homeless population to 0.

The problem is, housing bubbles finance executive whore and coke/crack parties. Meanwhile the long term "safety" of housing prices means that the most bug like people pervert the idea of sane living by inserting the most OCD shit in order to preserve the most valuable thing such despicable bug men will own.

No HOA people go inside your house, they only regulate the stuff that affects other people's property values, like the stuff that you just mentioned.
Besides just regulations and citing people, HOA also organizes landscaping and repairs and stuff to public spaces in the neighborhood (like streets if you live in the county and not the city, or parks or picnic benches etc.)

But also, HOA is made up of people that live in the neighborhood, it's a group of your neighbors, it's not like it's some random privatized company that they hire to fuck with your shit. Just get to know them and they will be cool with you, or you can get on the board yourself.
Yes, there are definitely dicks, usually bitchy older women with nothing to do, who love to be nosy and fuck with you because they've been given some tiny responsibility and power over their neighborhood, but for the most part HOA's really only care if you are really fucking up and screwing with other people's quality of life. Don't violate my NAP by fucking with my property values and stacking garbage up against my fence.

It's your responsibility to mow your lawn, why would anyone pay to have this done for you?
Other anons in here try to act like HOA is camped outside your house waiting for your grass to be 1mm longer than regulation, I've never experienced that. It's all people who live in the neighborhood that serve on a board, and each person is usually in charge of a different thing. In the three HOA neighborhoods I've lived in, I imagine if I was injured and couldn't mow my lawn, someone would have come and done it for free, or I'd pay one of the neighbor kids $10. That's what happens in white communities, they help each other to maintain the standards of their community.

You give them authority when you move into the neighborhood, it's a voluntary transaction. You either choose to live in an HOA community or you don't.

I'm pretty sure they go into the HOA treasury. There is a treasurer and they hold meetings every so often, and the meetings are open for anyone who lives in the hood to attend. They release accountings of how much money they have, what it was spent on etc.
I'm sure that some HOA's have been corrupt as fuck, but there's usually enough oversight that that doesn't happen.
One of the neighborhoods I lived in used to throw a block party every 4th of July for the kids, and they used the HOA funds to pay for some of that.
In my experience, HOA is more common when you live in the county, outside of a city. If you live in a city, then the city usually takes care of all the public stuff anyway (roads, sidewalks, streetlights, etc). But that's the difference between ghettos in the city where every other house looks like shit, and nice neighborhoods in the suburbs where the houses have fresh cut lawns, and all look nice and a desirable place to live.
>>
>>137961591
>Do you really think "rich older whites" are the ONLY people who can afford to pay $20 to go to the beach?
Maybe not afford but middle class and working class whites aren't going to spend all that money. Between going to a filthy beach with nigs and spics and spending a lot of money for a nicer beach, they probably wont go at all.

The younger each generation gets, the more likely they are going to run into a wider diversity of opinions.

The era of TV - propaganda spaced between 10 minutes of forced ads for viagra and shit with stupid feminine nu-male cucks getting cucked - is in a beautiful twilight.

It was very possible to dictate the world order from one fortress in the 20th century, but it is looking increasingly unlikely for the 21st.

Not literally true but the above would be a better use than the absolutely inane shit that's bought. Quicker pickup by local post, input into a bill affecting local housing, etc.

I grew up in Los Angeles. What's killing the people, more than criminality, is being stuck in the same shitty place because housing is outrageous in proportion to the average income of a resident. When people feel powerless and stuck, in a way that corresponds with the actual reality, then nothing matters.

In such a horrendous scene, the state comes by to posture like a fucking superman and writes verbal garbage defending giving $214 in cash and $194 in food stamps each month. But all they've done is enable a horrendous wave of black fatherlessness. You don't need a beta provider if the government gives you money, which scales as you have more kids.

As I like to say, it's a fucking disaster. Los Angeles has an aura of stupid, vulgar, terrible, and frightening like that Shadowrun game set in Hong Kong. It takes 30 minutes in a car to leave the center of the event horizon (considering only distance, not traffic). It's the folly of idiots who lacked all sense of aesthetics and its healing powers.. It's like a gravitational power where the only thing, that exists for miles and miles all around, is Los Angeles.

What a terrible shitty city. The only good parts are Santa Monica, Malibu, and Marina Del Ray.

Not ALL debt is "bad."
Renting is even worse than a mortgage, you're literally giving that money away every month. At least with a mortgage you own an investment and can use that to leverage other credit. Plus renting is usually more expensive than owning, so what's the point? You can pay $2,000 a month to rent a house and when you move you have nothing, or you can pay $2,000 a month to mortgage a house and when you sell the house you take all the equity with you, your capital, etc.

Also, I can say from my experience at a 4-year university that the kids were all clueless and their parents did everything for them until the university took over the parents job of telling them what to do. All the freshman wanted to do was party away from their parents. Largely vapid and untrustworthy, but they try to make up for being shit with political beliefs.

I ended up dropping out and going for a trade degree at a community college and there was a remarkable difference. While the academic side was as typically leftist as can be, the freshman there had a lot more ambition and there was a noticeably larger diversity of opinion to serve as a counterbalance.

Keep in mind, the 4-year uni freshmen who party on their parents dime wouldn't be caught dead going to a community college because they see themselves as being above it. They will, however, act like they are the champions of the poor for voting leftist and virtue signaling. They will bow down to Tyrone when he goes to one for addiction studies. They're just too good for it themselves.. Wonder why?

We is in reference to a nation's total resources. "We" do have millions of houses held by banks.

If banks just gave away homes, the value of other homes would start to plummet.

As I said, in a physical sense (millions of empty homes) we do have enough to house the homeless.

In the context of our society...there would be panic. All those people who are "attuned with spirituality" and "protect the Earth" will be savage apes crying for blood because their home worth plummeted. They have a contract with Mammon that they must keep. They can keep their self-esteem, and perceived holiness, in return for willfully ignoring the issues carried by younger generations. As a result of their choices.

As I always like to say, most humans are faggots. Almost all the parties involved would rather talk tribal faggotry than think through discrete steps for a systematic solution.

if I have the option, should I buy a mobile home or rent an apartment?

with an apartment my money just vanishes, with a mobile home, I can at least recoup some of what I pay, but I also have to own the land it's going to be on, or lease it.. and with a lease I may as well be paying rent.

if I buy the land AND the mobile home, I may as well be buying a regular house

"exercise bike"

Aerobics people are showoff faggots who don't realize that the pattern of activity, for most creatures, is long periods of low intensity and then extremely short periods of high intensity/conflict

Which is why running more than 4k a day is correlated with a reduced life span (excessive aerobics literally damages your myocardial/heart tissue over time.).

It's far better to maintain, control, and grow in something that actually makes you healthier into old age. aka Weight lifting. It's so fucking easy too but people are faggots about numbers and insecurities. They don't realize all that matters is
1. You do the form correct
2. You control the motion the entire way through. Most people in the gym cheat by letting gravity and momentum do a lot of the work. Which is stupid because that's stress that should be controlled by good form. It hurts a lot more when you control your reps the entire way through.
3. You lose weight, gain muscles, and become a bit less clumsy because you're actually practicing on controlling a load the entire rep, not awkwardly trying to show off quickness driven by gravity and momentum.

My religion is that cardio is a fucking waste of time and that you should walk a few miles each day. That's when you let gravity and momentum reduce the energy the body would have to expend.

Except more and more things are using that system. So you're paying for your things like your clothes and food on a monthly basis. Life is basically like this anyway but this is talking about going full on debt slavery with little chance of escape.

You also forget that in the age of social media, the faggots, who compromise the majority, like to show off for the mirror of social media. It's a lot easier to look "athletic" with a run than in doing reps with a "mere" 90 lb weight.

And yes, if you weight lift with good form, you learn to be less clumsy in your movements. Most people focus on numbers, not the intuitive feeling of a mass that has to move in a controlled way.

Just think about all the faggots at gym who try to "fast forward" their workout. It's ridiculous and counterproductive. You can't fast forward controlled motion without sacrificing the load on your muscles to momentum and gravity.

Mortgage rates are like 3 or 4%.

Since it's such a long-term loan, you could have taken out a mortgage (let's say at 4%), invested the money you would paid for the home, earned 7% on that (annualized over the term of the mortgage), and either pocketed the difference or paid off the mortgage early.

The thing is your 8% loan is a fixed liability, whereas your 15% gain is a purely theoretical asset.

>If you'd done this anytime since 09 you'd be fucking laughing, the market's gone up by like 15% per year on average.
Yes, but the big money is eaten up by money movers.

Retail investors are notorious for being weak hands. The average person who you tell to invest is going to come out losing money while "investing" because they rush to sell the minute their stock drops 3%.
>>
>>137965907
NOTE.

A funny part is that with controlling weight, you can spend the equivalent of two-three hours a week and pack muscle. So let's introduce the concept of failure. Lactic acid tells your body to engage rebuilding protocols. You need the signaling of pain and inflammation to tear damaged muscle and rebuild it.

Which is why you also shouldn't take aspirin right after gym. You're cucking your gains, which require literal damage and pain before the body signals repair with reinforcement.

>>You need 2000 calories a day to survive.

No. Calorimetry is inaccurate. It gets a wide ballpark (ranges of only >1 calorie difference to 500 in certain foods). And if your BF > 8, your body will burn fat. You can literally survive a year without eating if you're fat enough and you provide for your vitamins, minerals, and water needs. And you should practice IF (Intermittent Fasting). Your body needs 8-12 hours without food to start repair protocols that don't happen in the fed state.

The problem with sleep is that we fuck it up by surrounding ourselves with blue light. Which inhibits melatonin which fucks your circadian cycle up. But yes, sleep is the usual way to add 8 hours (at least) after a fed event. Which switches over to fasting around wakeup or a few hours later depending on individual variation.

Why do you think fluorescent light lit rooms are so...terrible? Because the sun would normally inhibit the production of melatonin (even blind people have this reaction). But in fluorescent lighting, that melatonin is going into your system all fucking day. Making you less motivated and sleepier.

To elaborate on my response to >>137967841
we get a skewed picture of endurance running because we run and walk the wrong way.

Shoes, as we know them, only came into style during the medieval era and is still a very common. As you know, walking on shoes is usually done by striking either heel first or as a T-bone to the ground.

HGs don't have shoes. That's part of why they're stealthy hunters. They have a technique where the balls of the feet and let the rest of the foot "settle" down. It's why I wear "minimalist" shoe wear. Because it's actually a lot more graceful than "traditional" walking. It's also part of why fashion models walk in that particular way. It mimics how a healthy HG would walk.

>>137969221

You are right in that respect but the "running" gets easier as the prey bleeds out. It's not like they have to run at full intensity. Unless they really fucked up the hunt.

> I've been drinking ginger juice to reduce inflammation, some nights it was like a fever. Fucking low T

The day after. But what sort of inflammation do you mean? It's normal to feel muscle soreness after a (good) workout.
