I, and the church, maintain the existence of a pair that triggered a fall from grace that all humans now are descendants from. There's nothing wrong with such a claim, what's incorrect is the perspective it is put in. For example, if you speak of the pair being a first historic humans biologically then you'd have to figure out how to make sense of the other humans in that story that are referenced.

Do you mean? No that's silly. Well I'll ask it anyway just encase. Do you think we worship the statues and the crosses in our churches? We use them as a source of reference for things that are holy, like Christ. By viewing Christ as a human being personally I feel closer to him as I look up at a depiction of him being nailed to the cross. I feel as if I'm up on Calvary praying as he's being crucified. It makes me humble to think that and makes it more atheistic as well.

The statue is there for remembering the person nothing more maybe some Catholics pray to the statues but the ones I know do not and pray directly to God.
