It was all pretty much acquaintances from high school bragging about their lives and posting unfunny, uncreative things they'd gotten from somewhere else, and the spoiled trust fund hipster babies from college posting whatever commie white genocide opinions John Oliver and their liberal arts professors had drilled into them that week. I couldn't take it anymore. Same reason I dropped out of college. Now I'm a complete loser and failure but I can honestly say I'm a bit happier not having to be around these people. As for the platform itself, validation should come from within, not from other people.

I once had a Facebook. But I've deactivated it a long time ago. Hopefully by now it has removed itself (apparently it does after a certain amount of time).

It wasn't particularly the content that turned me off it - although the content was a load of bollocks - it was more a paranoia about the whole thing. Way it checks you into places. "Anon is in such a place, with this person and that person". What is this app that tracks where you are and who you're with? I know you can stop it putting notifications on your wall with this info, but that doesn't stop the machine tracking you, I bet.

I think that the straw that broke the camel's back, for me, was one day I noticed that where you update your status it started asking "what are you thinking?"

So what, Facebook, you want to know everything about me, who my friends are, where I am at all times, and even what I'm thinking? And just who the fuck are you?

And that's why I am no longer an internet, or smartphone, user.

Yeah, after C'ville, I deleted my Facebook. I live in Socal and we have no shortage of leftie cucks, I would try to converse with them, but I realized nothing would change and it was a moot effort to try and convince anyone who has not already been convinced. Lost all care for social acceptance a long time ago. Eventually got tired of seeing shit happen and the breaking point was C'ville. I had 450 "friends", now I have none. But I'm happier.

I pretty much use it for calls and taking photos, but also for checking things on the internet. I do not actively use it unlike the average person.
Oh, and about the Messenger thing, I only use the website at home. I don't have a mobile data plan anyway.
