Dalmations are one of the hardest dogs to take in (find/buy/train).

First of all, in terms of intelligence, they are one of the highest if not the highest. Usually when we got our dogs, eventually they'd play our kindness and casually hop onto the dinner table. We kept bottles of hot sauce near by to condition them; dogs are very sensitive to hot sauce. Inb4 doggo cruelty; we'd put in a few drops until the doggo found it bad.

In terms of finding; keep several things in mind: unless you get a puppy from a certified breeder, they're likely inbred and deaf (breed most affected by deafness). We got one dal girl puppy and we didn't realize she was deaf until she kept watching the TV at point blank range w/ loud volume. She managed to fit in and play with the kids just based on vision/touch/etc.

Dals are amazing with kids. I can't emphasize this enough. They are naturally nurturing. One time, my sister got hid in the head with a baseball bat; not good. Doggo sprinted (50km/h+) to some random path 5 mins away and got my parents back in time. I was too slow and doggo didnt even notice me.

Dalmations should only be taken by active individuals/families. They literally need at least 30+ mins of exercise a day. They also need a lot of attention/love (talking to them non-stop). If you have a day job, nobody at home, and just them, do not do it. It's cruel. Dals take social isolation very, very hard.

Also Dalmations will absolutely rape your apartment if left alone. here the intelligence comes in. They will eat your most expensive shoes. etc.

Huskies are shit at everything bar being sled dogs. They are generally owned by Manlet goths. A tamaskan is the complete opposite. Same aesthetic but they are good with kids, friendly to other people and dogs and don't fuck off everytime you leave the door open. I know of a huskies that actually jumped through a broken window rather than attack an intruder. The establishment tamaskan are imported direct from Finland, but there are recognised breeders in the UK and Germany.

Mastiffs are generally the best breeds for families. I have a border collie and love him to bits. He just requires 2 hours on the beach a day to keep him happy.

When he was alive I lived fairly urban area, however he was down at the park every day and also on daily runs. He also needed constant mental stimulation, however if you take them to training as a puppy, socialise them, work them out constantly and understand they are extremely high drive you will be alright. But yeah. Probably look into another breed. They're hard work. We mostly run kelpies and collies mixed with American bulldogs with a little dingo thrown into the mix.

Fantastic for working, will hang off the biggest bulls you've ever seen, but they're a handful to train. Dingo makes them timid at the start(but breeds back in the herd instinct), bully makes them tough, and the kelpie or collie makes them smart as fuck.

Came here to post this. Pits get a bad rap from people who don't raise them right. They need a lot of training and discipline. My ex had an American Staffordshire Terrier and even being a rescue dog that also spent a decent amount of time in quarantine traveling from Hawaii to Oregon, she still turned out to be a great dog with training and love.

Best guard dog ever, a ton of fun to play with, and very loving. She once chomped on my hand pretty hard because we were really into playing tug o war with her rope, and she went to readjust her grip and missed. When I yelled in pain, she let go, and immediately was sitting next to me and trying to 'hug' me in that way dogs do.

She also had an awesome pattern in her fur on her back that looked like a dog howling at the moon, some real Pimp Your Canine shit.
