If it helps, OP, I'm 30 now and my 20s were the same way. It took me until maybe a year ago for things to finally fall into place. Met a girl, comfortable job, house, getting married soon... should've happened a decade ago, but oh well.

A part of me misses my 20s for the reasons you described, though. Looking back, I kind of enjoyed the aimlessness. I got dumped in a horrible way at 22 and had to move in with my parents, but it put me on a really interesting path that had me moving across state lines into sleepy mountain towns, juggling crappy jobs, teaching myself all sorts of useful things, and chasing girls constantly. If I had to admit anything, its that I miss that freedom. You're lucky, anon. I once spent a week staying up until 6am every day just streaming shitty horror movies, getting high, and taking night hikes in the woods to see what I could find. I used to drive for hours just to see bands in new cities or catch up with friends. I could sleep with a girl, date a different one, hit the bar with friends, and then sleep with the first girl again all in the same day. None of that will happen for me ever again.

Take advantage while you can. Getting a job and having money is great. You don't want to be a drain on society. But I regret pushing that meme as hard as I did. I made some poor choices in my pursuit of a career in my 20s. I should have just kept partying like everybody else. I think it would have given me more fulfillment. A lot of my friends kept it up until just about the current year. Even my current girlfriend did, actually. I settled too young.
