No. And lately I've come to realize their white liberal robots are not much better, and we might have to wade through a lot of bodies before reaching the final boss if you catch my drift. I live in Durham, the chance to use logic and reason has passed us by.

it's horrible. I stay at a hotel less than 3KM (1.8 miles) from my client and it can take me 10-15 minutes to drive to them. The highways never expanded to account for the population increase.

it's also expensive as hell as far as cost of living goes. nice to visit, would not want to live in Toronto (or really Canada). but I end up there for 1-3 weeks a month doing work for Canadian companies.

>>137737334
I just buy maple syrup in the states, cheaper (airport prices are ripoff, and then buying in Canada/packing it in a carry on bag (no liquids in carry ons/declaring it to US Customs) isn't worth it.

I have family in Canada. I think that friendly shit they get such a good reputation for is all an act.
My Canadian relatives are some of the biggest fucking twats you meet behind closed doors. They also seem to have a ridiculous amount of envy and jealous hatred toward the USA. Before we stopped visiting them entirely, they were attacking us about Bush, like SJW tier attacks.
We never went back to visit after that.
(For perspective, my grandfather was born and raised in Nova Scotia, moved to Detroit and became an American citizen; still have the 200 acres of property in Nova Scotia, but we never go there anymore despite my grandfather saving the land by buying up the family shares before he died; stupid Canadian relatives are happy to use the land though, despite having zero claim to it).

But then I watched some Margaret Maclennan gamergate videos and I realized that her accent was actually charming and beautiful. But then I had it explained to me that I only liked it because she was pretty girl who I thought shared my opinions. So, the bottom line is that canadian language is disgusting, but if you want to like it all you have to do is find a beautiful woman who speaks it to you.

the friendly canada routine is a meme created after world wars for optics.
be storm troopers.
be best snipers.
americans send troops to canada for elite training.
have vast swathes of unreachable wilderness for all kinds of black ops shit.
JTF2 is widely received as the greatest special ops team ever, and tallied up the highest kill count of any team in Afghanistan all without Canadian civilians knowing.
and yet all you hear is how friendly canada is and peaceful and they love peace and silly loud americans next door keep us from having nice things omg....please.

we provide the usa more oil than the saudi princes so why would america just leave peaceful old canada to its lonesome? the truth is it doesnt, the usa already owns canada through being 80% of our economic trade without which we wouldnt float as a country. again i say peaceful canada is a meme used to sweep up the bad press gained from our more trigger happy brothers to the south.

depends on the place.

i try to avoid the tablet restaurants because they're owned by one company (OTG) who runs every concession in the main united terminal at newark (they do the same at a few other airports).
hearth has better food and beverage options IMO but appropos has more charging outlets (not that many at the hearth, although seating at the area with it is usually available if you ask).
>>
>>137747195 here
also, the browser on the tablets monitors your internet history and injects advertisements. don't visit any site that you wouldn't want tied to your name as you have to swipe your credit/debit card to pay and the track data of your card contains your first and last name.

kinder eggs are illegal for import to the US and you can be fined $2,500 per egg if a customs agent catches you. baggage is scanned before entry to the US and they reserve the right to check carry ons. the transborder gates used to sell kinder eggs but eventually someone told US CBP and they stopped.

>>137747581
a lot of people have raved about the fish tacos there when I've been there. the mac and cheese is essentially the only item on the menu I can eat (allergic to seafood + eggs, anything that hits a grill or deep fryer is out due to cross contamination...mac and cheese doesn't contain those items and is cooked in an individual clean pan in the hearth).

the mac and cheese is pretty good w/ breadcrumbs, they'll also add bacon if you ask (usually), real pieces, not just bacon crumbs. it's also fairly large as both a portion and the price.

the alexander keith isn't a bad beer on draft and the price is fair, but it isn't a real IPA, not bitter at all. still tasty and bang for the buck is good

full bar but spirits in canada are just generally expensive. That said if you get a stronger cocktail (e.g. old fashioned) they will mix it properly.

Yeah I noticed that, do you know why? I'm just sticking with Canadian club since I like it anyway and cheapest option. Luckily I haven't spent much money while up here. I did think the USD would go further than it has considering exchange rates.
>>
>>137749133
sin tax man. you have to pay for that universal healthcare/socialized medicine (whatever you want to call it, single payer, etc.) and dis incentivize behavior that costs the public money (e.g. treating the health consequences of alcoholism.)
>>
>>137749237
Makes sense.
>>
>>137749520
it does, it just sucks.
in the midwest US, at a really nice hotel restaurant/bar, they would make me a drink with 3.5 ounces Hendricks gin/3.5 ounces tonic (rest ice) for $7 USD.

in Canada I could expect them to charge $11 CAD an ounce of liqour plus 13% HST plus tip.

buying 2 ounces of Grey goose in Canada at a restaurant is typically $20-$25 CAD (keeping in mind it's about 80% of that in USD with exchange rate). I can buy a 1.75L of Kirkland Signature (Costco) vodka for $18.75 (made in France at one of the old grey goose factories, five times distilled, basically indistinguishable).

the pricing system makes beer/cider on draft generally cheaper than the US, wine a bit more expensive, and spirits totally fucked in pricing relatively.
>>
>>137750037 here
by the way, what I said generally only applies to on draft brews.
I think this is why most canadian beer is really boring, they need consistent brews for cheaper prices pre-tax.
I would say the exception on this is probably Unibroue but even then the more complex flavors of pilsners and pale ales/IPAs you would get in the US are just absent in Canada.
>>
>>137750037
Where in the states do you live?

>>137750037
