So what do they do? They now carpool, they pack themselves inside 2 bedroom houses, and now they're starting little mini-restaurants with cheap food from the trash that super markets dump.

City enforcement does nothing about it because they close after 5pm. So anything can happen after 5pm in California as code enforcement doesn't work after hours.

Basically, the city is allowing these slum ghettos to form. Pretty soon 12 year old prostitutes will be on the streets soon, because that's how it is in Mexico.

This is nothing new. 20 years ago Mexican families in El Monte would live in rented garages. 15 people to a two bedroom apartment and the school age kids up until 3am because adults coming and going at all hours. Its shit and its only gotten worse.

I haven't visited the Los Angeles area in over ten years. But even then there were whole areas like this. I recall driving out on West Pico one time and thinking, I'm basically in Mexico. And unlike say your average big city Chinatown it went on FOREVER. It wasn't a picturesque little cultural district--it was a whole city, and it was filthy, depressing and dangerous.

It's true, but you have to keep in mind that the labor board in California was cracking down hard on illegals working for less than minimum wage, which allowed a lot of these Mexicans to be able to afford their own rent for housing.

For a time, this shit stopped.

Now that minimum wage is no longer sufficient to keep up with rent, shit is just happening all over again. I think it's going to be much worse than what it was 20 to 30 years ago, as these Mexicans can no longer afford to fix their own damn car (I helped a Mexican lady fix her brake lights because she couldn't afford the $5 light bulbs) and they need to commute an hour for work.

No raising of minimum wage is going to help here anymore. California has fucked itself to death.
