Most nations are variations on fascism now. The difference is that our fascism is not built around building up succesful, organized societies but rather just about maintaining a prison planet that can be looted and exploited until the wealthy reach the signularity and achieve god like dominance over the planet and its inhabitants. Like it or not Hitler showed the world how a failed society could be turned around if the institutions were focused on improving the state and removing forces bent on exploiting it and feasting on the carcass.

The latter half of the 20th century has seen the west be fattened up only to be plundered by the international bankers for their own purposes.
