Seriously, thermite would destroy that thing, I've wondered how it hasn't already been hit. The design is completely vulnurable to a thermite attack, all they'd need to do is walk by, set the buckets down near the feet, light them, and walk off. No one would know until it's too late and the statue would be irreparable.
