Yes oldfag here. I buy and sell homes for a living, and right now my inventory is piling up because young people don't want to buy a house, or refuse to buy a house "in the suburbs hurr."

Man the fuck up, have a family, and accomplish what every other generation managed to do. It's not that difficult people.

It's pathetic to watch young people destroy this country.

Consumerism displacing culture is the real threat here.

Dude, US labour force participation rate hasn't been this bad since 1970's

Your inventory is piling up because during the last decade when the "recession"(depression) started the average wages took a nose dive and unemployment went up

Literally the crash that started under bush jr is only now recovering to the point where we were before the crash

Just wait till automation kicks in, bye bye tens of millions of transport and logistics jobs

You make, at best, 10% profit on the houses you sell. Why not just rent them? I'm making almost 2% of my rental home's price each month!
>>
>>137579005
A lot of them can't afford it. For example my area people from Cali are coming over and jacking up the rent, medin income of my city is like 42k, but people from Cali are buying apartment's/ condos and the average price to rend is 1100 a month. They are also driving up home cost just less then 5 years ago a 250k is now 350k . I mean I'm as t a position we're I am forced to buy my condo 880 SQ feet for 142. Worse yet companies are not upping pay.

So boils down to we are in a bubble it's gonna pop or wages will need to go up. I'm not talking minimum talking skilled worker pay

This is a solid point. Next time any of you fucks decide to actually go into buying a house. Do your research on when, how, and who built it. What material they used, the whole 9 yards.

My father does finish work and carpentry. He also dabbles in other things like plumbing, electrical etc. While we have never built a house from scratch, we've built enough rooms for me to know how fucking cheap it is to actually build something. Keep in mind labor is the biggest expense.

But houses, especially these shitty suburban plots are grossly overpriced and you should call anyone trying to sell you on it out.

It is far more expensive for millenials to do that than for the previous generation. Boomers have left millenials a mountain of government, household and corporate debt.

The life standards of boomers were sustained by a process of massive generational indebting. It's the reagan/thatcher economic model - "popular capitalism", so much praised by the right. It worked well for decades, it was crucial to beat the Soviet Union, and now we are witnessing its slow demise. In the meantime, it has erased most of the Capital accumulated in the West.

Millennial here. Trying to save up and buy a house is difficult when rent is $1225/month and I have $35,000 in student loan debt (BBA Accounting). I also owe $9,000 on a car. There is more financial strain on our generation than on yours. Tuition rises at 6x the rate of inflation. Millennials always want to buy a house but only if it's in a hip, stylish yuppie area no more than a 15 minute's commute from their workplace. Pretty much every city, no matter how exclusive, has a middle-lower class suburb an hour's commute away that despite being middle-lower class is mostly white and has low crime rates, but nope, it's not hip and stylish enough, it doesn't have a large enough population of millenial yuppies, and an hour commute each way would be almost torture.

The problem is actually much worse in Israel than it is in the US. Back in 2011 there were the largest protests in the history of the country, where buttfuckloads of millennials took to the streets because the rent on the hip and stylish streets in Tel Aviv (Israel's version of Manhattan as far as real estate prices go) was too damn high and they couldn't afford it. The government responded with a plan to build buttfuckloads of ridiculously cheap housing in small communities outside of the immediate metro area and in the settlements, these communities are mostly Ashkenazi, have very low crime rates, and actually have much larger houses that sell for 1/4-1/8 of the price of a small apartment in Tel Aviv, a 20-40 minute commute from Tel Aviv. But nope, none of the millenials were having it, the cheap housing had to be on the more stylish and hip streets in Tel Aviv that had large communities of yuppies on them.

Millenials are truly the most spoiled brats on planet earth.

I just bought a 1200 sq ft shithole house in a shithole neighborhood. needed about 15k in materials and roughly 40 hours of my labor to fix up nicely enough to rent. The house cost $64k. So I'm in about 80k at this point. With taxes and insurance this brings my payments to about $500/mo. My tenants (who I hand picked from a pool of at least 100 respondents to my 1 week ad) pay $1300/mo. One of them could burn the place to the earth every 5th year and I'd still make money.

Buying a house is retarded, my bro is buying a house out in palmdale, he is paying around 300K for a house that cost 100K back in 2011, not only that, he makes really good money but it will be no where near enough, so what makes you think millenials who are pulling in minimum wage are ever going to afford buying a house? Every guy I have talked to said the only benefit of owning a house is renovation, and that it really is no different than renting a house, in fact, it is worse because you got a shit ton of bills to pay for.

Its like you guys never learned your lesson the first time, you kept flipping these things until the bubble blew up and now you are back to your original kike ways. I hope your fucking portfolios evaporate.

Inflation. It a mathematically provable fact. I millennials were to be paid the same value ADJUSTED FOR INFLATION as boomers were at the same age, every business would instantly go insolvent.

Inflation affects both earnings AND purchases.

Houses are incredibly overvalued right now - as im sure you are aware but can't admit - so anyone getting into a mortgage before the bubble bursts would be a moron, right? I'm sure you already know this.

You are asking, "why wont millennials get into a guaranteed negative equity situation? I just can't understand it!"

Millennials have the internet. They can just google stuff. Boomers didn't have that ability. Thats why we are all fucked. When banks need bailiong out to stay afloat, thats when you know you fucked up. This is a solely Boomer created situation. Millennials have merely inherited it.

yea right, the only reason these faggots are doing this is because they are flipping it, the same fucking thing they did when the bubble burst. they will never lower the price because they believe this flipping scam has infinite growth and that they can just buy buy and flip forever. Soon they will all have these houses and nobody to sell to, and if they do sell it, it is to people who really cannot afford it, so they change some numbers and wow you have a house now, that really belongs to the bank that you will pay for 30 years, which will probably end up going to the bank anyways.

nice scam

We already bought and sold a house a few years ago. We're back to renting now. The market was terrible, the house wasn't appreciating any value, and the endless repairs were a huge drain on our finances and our time and energy.

It's a lot more expensive to own a home now compared to when we were growing up, and for some people it just isn't worth it. You can be responsible and successful and have a good life without saddling yourself with a mortgage. We plan to buy land someplace we love and build a custom house later in life. For now we rent.

>but why do 40 year old homes that are complete shit never go down in value.

Because you have faggots and outside interest with a lot of $$ who come in and buy them up and basically flip them, flip them several times before nobody can afford it. You can see this happen no better place than California, all outside interest who buy homes to pad their portfolios. You can go on realtor right now and check the prices of homes from just 6 years ago.

It goes something like this

>2011, price for same house 110K
>2017, same house selling for 300K

There is nothing that would have caused those numbers to spike so fast other than faggots just flipping for more and more, no renovations, no adding solar panels, the same fucking shit home that sold for 110K in 2011 is now trying to sell for 3x that, fucking retarded.

A liability can be ok if you have market equity in it.

Millenials all know that there's no equity to be had in 2017. We're waiting for this bubble to pop.

Yes, you are probably right, but it's going to be ~5yrs before we can make a profit on this property.

In addition, we have the fact that US realtors decided to ignore market forces, so there's another 2 yrs until someone needs to buy your shitbox.

Americans are so much better off having children in a "shit-box" than cucking to the (((real estate market))).

It's an incredibly sad situation when boomers have arranged our young men to lose out on THEIR OWN home ownership.

We're supposed to be co-opting young white men so that they don't get left out and overthrow the whole goddamned system . . .
>>
>>137587281
>but don't you guys have rent control?

Rent control only means they can't raise the price while you are living in it, but once you leave or move out, the landlord can raise its base price and start the increase from there for the new tenant.

Also places that do have rent control are filled to the brim with illegals and low lifes.

what makes you so sure house prices are ever going to come back down? if there's always more money in the system from QE, PPT, etc. then won't the houses stay permanently expensive? what makes you so sure they aren't trying to steer the goyim into being completely unable to ever own property again? i mean these Jews who control our currency literally think their God has instructed them to gain total ownership over all the property on the planet, right? so why would they take any steps toward making it easier for goyim to own property again? i'm pretty sure they want to own it all, and force us to rent it. are you sure your idea that house prices will ever come back down isn't just wishful thinking?
>>
>>137588752

i meant they can raise the price but by only a small percentage, like 3 or 6, but once you move out, the landlord can set the base price to whatever the market will bear, and when everyone moves in and out, the price for "rent controlled" is still too high.

It is sad to read that people close to my age have trouble buying homes, but I've never had trouble finding tenants for my rental homes. I don't want to sell my homes because they are my assets but I get solicitations from buyers all the time.

Housing markets are defined by their regions. I'm in a really good market. Demand for existing homes is high, new homes are being built constantly and the saturation point is years away.

Well, there should be a collapse in house prices. I mean we are well overdue for one. We've had a boom cycle so it stands to reason that there will be a bust cycle again. But yes you are right in that (((someone))) wants to own all the property on the planet.

I suppose, (((someone))) also controls the currency supply and that is also completely manipulated, so yeah we are fucked.

The next collapse will usher in a crypto as the New World Order currency and that'll be totally manipulated.

I guess you'll only be allowed to own property if you sell out to (((them))) and join freemasonry like a good goy

The fact is we need JOBS. JOBS that don't require us to waste $30k on a degree. That and also the price of a home has increased by 20%. In addition, nobody wants to live in the suburbs, the risk of default is too high, and finally THE PRICES OF WAGES HAS INCREASED BY 0.005% RESPECTIVELY.

why buy a house when you can lose it all when you fail to pay mortgage

maintaning a house (speficially suburbian houses) is like paying for ninety times its value; it's cheap disgusting wooden garbage marketed from $200k -$500k in busy places

I make $70k a year with $300k in bank, graduated college five years ago, and I'm happily renting a house because I'm not going to blow my money on some stupid worthless suburb house

I'm old too and I paid off my houses and land because I rejected Jew consumption memes and bought wisely and affordably.

Suburban bloated consumption was not always the rule. The US did nicely before suburban light rail bloated the burbs. Burbs are comfy but you have no rights.

Taxes suck, HOA suck, restrictive covenants suck, traffic sucks, not being able to target practice on your own property sucks, extreme vulnerability in natural disasters sucks, the brutally high overhead delaying retirement sucks.

OP can take his Jew housing bubble business model and shove it up his arse to slosh in accumulated Wall Street Kike semen.

I copy my "greatest generation" parents. It was a complete success. I retired at 46 from the military with all my shit paid off and life is good. If I gave all my money to the Jew I'd still be working and die in harness like the rest of the chumps.

Here's something that's not even being talked about that will drive millennial whites out to the country.
We need to fix our internet infrastructure. As it is right now it's a joke. There are actually laws in place that turned isps into a definition oligopoly. By law they can't step on each others toes, huge swaths of territory have one isp to choose from, and they refuse to expand into rural areas because they have absolutely zero incentive to take even the smallest of risks.
It's so bad here in Ohio, it's hard to find a home with cable internet half a mile out of town in the sticks.
My wife and I are having a hell of a time finding a rural home that meets our requirements, and the one requirement that keeps refusing to get ticked off more than the others is fast internet.
>>
Also - no one actually owns their home. If you look on the paperwork you would be the house "holder". Not the owner.

You pay for the house but you can never own the land that its on, so you are the temporary holder.

Its a legal shite-loop.
