You cannot speak for all Huns based on your anecdotal evidence. And as I said, with the proper approach, Hungarians can be convinced about the merits of gun ownership if the evidence is presented properly with sound reason and evidence.
Especially in the direction Europpe and the world is going, it is going to be easier and easier to instill a sense of duty-full gun ownership and even the need for organized militias in the minds of Huns.

I was thinking about something like this one day. If I had the power to make it happen this is what I would do:

Every High school student, as a condition of graduation, must complete a 4 month 'military' boot camp during the summer of their second to last year, and another after their last year.
The first boot camp is more or less shooting, basic medical training, tactics, drills, etc. Simple stuff and made fun for both boys and girls (girls will focus on support role stuff). The second camp is hardcore teambuilding and character building. I'm talking about old school marching for a week on no food and sleep, timed obsticle courses where of a memeber of your group fails/ is slow you all clean shit or do PT, search and rescue, disaster relief, etc. All in the worst conditions you can muster. The final test is facing a bad fear you have. Bugs in a tank, heights, dead bodies, asking a girl out, the usual you know?

Today's society is very soft and people need to know they can be tough, they need self confidence, and the knowledge if you got your brothers back he has yours. Plus training to defend your self/family/country is good.

i can tell you what was it like here but it was probably similar in all commie countries. we had childs organization called Pioneer, and it was similar to scouts, except there was much more political education. Kids learned all about "cool" aspects of marxism-leninism, and also about the importance of improving their country to defeat evil capitalist.
